enough with this nonsense

Trump doesn't want to drain the swamp

While he's probably not guilty of any true criminality, his friends are shitbags and the epitome of swampy characters

I hope most on here realize that pleading guilty is often associated with actually being innocent but being fearful of wrongful prosecution of greater charges.

On the run of the mill stuff, sure, but not on high profile stuff like this.

It's plausible, but I wouldn't suggest it's likely.

Sure, but does anyone think Manafort and Cohen are getting railroaded?

In all actuality, they're probably reckless and corrupt dudes who may or may not have committed the crimes they're accused of, but know they've done all sorts of shite they don't want to dig further into

Trump's best defense, and what has worked for him before, is mass hysteria (left and media) over convoluted wrongdoing that leads to the public's eyes glazing over

But this is the truth though. Im more engaged than 75-80% of the public but the last 12 months my eyes have completely glazed over. I have watched a grand total of 1-2hours tops of cable news because its the same cycle over and over. Massive leftist hysteria over some menial thing with the WH going crazy with denial and it blows over in 24 hours. This whole thing about paying someone for their silence during a campaign? My underlying assumption is it occurs in 90% of presidential campaigns and this is the first time its actually been looked for and caught. At this point I dont even care what the outcome is Im just so sick of the charade in DC. It sucks because overall the economy is rolling and I think the country on the whole is in the best position its been in a while despite the histrionics that occur on a daily basis.

It’s more problematic when you realize Cohen was deputy finance chair of the RNC up until HE resigned in June of THIS year.

The anti-Trumpers needed a win so they are willing to take whatever they can. The problem is this can be "a pretty big deal".

are subject to U.S. Sentencing Guideline § 2C1.8, that the

Cohen just put the finger of criminal conspiracy up Trump’s arse. Bad day for Trump.

Huge victory.

S&P hit record highs. A Manafort win would have crushed Mueller. Cohen really benefitted from that Manafort uncertainty. The SOBs got Cohen to implicate the POTUS through a plea deal. That is a 100% win for Mueller.

The problem I have with this is the selective prosecution because of his association with Trump. That makes this a pure political prosecution due to his proximity to a person powerful political entities want out of office.

It's not good for Trump from a PR perspective, but the charge isn't as bad as it sounds like it is.

This is not the biggest deal in the world. It's going to get overblown, but this will eventually fade as people dig further, and understand what the charge he plead to actually is.
