What happened to civility?
Have y'all stood back and really looked at what folks are saying on this board? Like people are literally giving virtual high-fives to Dinesh DeSouza for being a dick to kids who have opinions that differ from their own. People are talking about actors being in Florida and people are like "well, obviously!". The name calling in threads. It's incredible to me just how few and far between mature exchanges of ideas and perspective are on this board. Everything devolves into people just being internet dicks.
You want to know why this country is fricked right now? Because people stopped talking and started screaming.
Also, thanks for the 30-50 downvotes this will receive. Hilarious!

Man, I should know better...I know.
I fricking love politics...have for a very, very long time and I like getting into the weeds on issues. If you enter those conversations with an open mind, you can actually learn something (I did tonight, actually).
I guess I was just excited to find a new political board to talk about things and, man, this place is like herding cats. Which, of course, means I'll partake

Don't take this the wrong way OP, I'm not targeting you...
But I'm sick of people banally telling us to talk civilly to each other, and I'm sick of people telling us we're cucks if you care about that stuff because the only thing that matters is disrupting the other side and winning the day. The platitudes of the former contingent don't gain us anything ideologically. Half the people in the latter camp don't even have an objective beyond the temporary and fleeting "win."
That said, I still agree with you, and I think telling douches like Dinesh to frick off is important. But it won't open dialogue. The left won't take us more seriously or respond in kind. But it's important to me, personally, to keep doing that.
