Ice should just set up at California border and check every ID. Anyone without a proper ID should be turned away from entering other States.

At this point, id just see how much Mexico will pay for California.

They can have that state and seal it in. Put a wall around it and let it rot.

Stupid.

If a law is deemed constitutional, a state does indeed have to obey the fed on it. Works for both red and blue states.

They're poking the bear because they know this administration is handcuffed by liberal judges.

Look for more cities to join in.

I’d deport all of California leadership to Juarez.

It's not that. This decision doesn't deal with judges.

They're poking the bear because the feds likely can't do this operation without lots of state and local help.

The federal system is very small in some ways, prisons/detention ability are one of those. Policing is another, so if these riots start elsewhere, the feds couldn't do much without the state/local authorities unless they got the military involved (which has its own legalities and logistical issues).

California is the state that pays the most in federal taxes vs what it receives in the entire country.

Why would they not want to help?!

If California seceded, it would have a larger GDP than all but these countries

US
China
Germany
Japan
India

It would have a larger economy than these notable countries

UK
France
Italy
Canada

and almost twice the GDP of Russia

So I guess Glendale is now identifing as its own country?

Pretty sure the federal government holds all the cards when it comes to immigration.

Well in the federal system we have, states don't have to agree with fed policy and participate in specific fed policies.

Remember states' rights?

Can you read?

All they're doing is ending a contract with the federal government.

They're not engaging in immigration policy
