Well put.

Ok. So his point on the cabinet not having the nerve to oust him is probably valid, but it hinges on the assertion he makes that he has a “vanishingly small” chance to finish the term with his mind, something a tiny number of people would agree with.

This is why Trump is hiring "loyalists"...lol. To avoid these conflicts.

I can't recommend enough Tucker's last interview with Russ Vought who ran the Office of Management and Budget under the last Trump administration. He describes the intuitional brick wall that the new Trump administration is up against and how to constitutionally demolish it. It looks like Trump is nominating the right people to do just that, constitutionally demolish the institutionalists working in government. Right now with Trump's nominations it has been "shock and awe". Trump has caught Senate Leadership and the administrative state institutionalists a little flat footed. He needs to keep the foot on the pedal. There will be some set backs but keep constitutionally plowing forward. Besides the Democrats, Trump and his team's main opposition are the institutionalists, Senate leadership, and the media.

I listened to it this morning. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever listened too. Make me realize how little I actually knew, and how much better I feel about future prospects and who’s making the moves.

I'll check that one out. I've had a few people off site tell me to give it a listen

I met him back in the Spring at a private event. He was adamant that Trump would lose in the biggest landslide since Reagan/Mondale. He did give a caveat that Biden dying could change things, so I'm surprised he didn't go that route in his post mortem.

I like him. I think his assessment of global affairs is pretty insightful.

It taught me about the inner workings of the how spending is conducted in the Executive Branch. This was never taught in civics. Spending is how things good and bad get done. For decades the OMB as put spending under the Executive Branch essentially on cruise control, independent of the new president (Executive), funding uniparty and administrative state initiatives from administration to administration regardless of party.

The first time in decades that a president questioned spending by OMB was when Trump questioned Ukraine spending. He got impeached for it.

Why do you think he has credibility? Because he speaks assertively and confidently? Because I think he’s a complete fraud and makes a living making utter fabrications.

He tells people what they want to hear, Ukraine will win, China will collapse, Trump will lose. His skill isn’t analysis.

I would be surprised if he believes what he says. But truth may also be an irrelevant concept for him.

He just gives you the Koolaid mix with cyanide. It's up to you to mix it then drink it.

I used to watch him, but he's been predicting a Chinese economic collapse for a couple of years

Have you been paying attention to the Chinese economy over the past year or two? It's going a little more slowly than Zeihan predicted, but it's still in a slow-motion implosion. With the U.S. re-shoring and friend-shoring their supply chains, along with the E.U. putting the screws to them on unfair trade practices, they really have no way to grow their way out of the hole. They lack the demographics for a consumption-led recovery. At this point the Chinese collapse isn't a question of "if", it's a question of "when".

He did predict the Russian re-invasion of Ukraine down to the year in Accidental Superpower. However, as one poster above put it, he needs to stay in his geographic/demographic/economic lane. He comes off the rails when he gets into internal domestic politics.

The 2022 red wave did not happen because congressional leadership from Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell spent heavily in congressional GOP primaries against congressional MAGA opponents and the general election came around McCarthy and McConnell did not help these GOP MAGA candidates with their campaign war chest.

It was quite simple to come to this conclusion.

I enjoy watching him.

He brings up interesting points, but like all people he’s never 100% right or wrong.

I knew he was wrong on this election when the democrats set up Biden to run unopposed for reelection. They had me worried when they forced out Biden since that would allow them to run a candidate that could blame Biden for the democrat induced disasters.

Fortunately they ran a less intelligent than senile Biden. She refused to condemn any Biden policy.

Zeihan actually admitted his main mistake. He concentrated on the actual “independent voter”, while ignoring the actual victims of the Democrat’s malfeasance, working Americans!

He’s correct in his observation that the democrat coalition is falling apart.

He’s also right in predicting that a new political party is emerging with the rise of MAGA. MAGA will either transform the GOP or replace it.

He’s still wrong on Trump and the future of MAGA.

But he is right about the decline of China, Western Europe, and Russia.
