Churches are tax exempt.

Churches have the right to do what they want when it comes speech. It doesn’t make right.

A preacher can go on TV, radio, or any other place to promote their political views, but churches should be a non-partisan place for people.

A lot of people make a lot of money from charitable or non-profit organizations. Again, there are a lot of similarities between for-profit entities and not-for-profit entities but that doesn't make them businesses.

Even if I were to allow the <1% of churches that have Osteen-level preacher salaries to be classified as businesses (they still aren't), the other 99% aren't that way.

My God (literally), people need some fricking perspective. This is why I stick to the cities and interstates when I'm back home.

Well, I've been back for four years. Guess it's just home.

Even if Roy isn't guilty of the accusations made against him, he's still a fricking moron.

Deuteronomy 19:15

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

In other words the Judeo-Christian Heritage does not condemn someone in this life from one witness
Neither does the US justice system
One witness is ,he said she said, without other evidence.

For those of you who say, well 7 people have now come forward against him...

Only one of them actually accused a crime.
The rest were legal but not currently US societally accepted activities.

Even more, even if the 16 year olds were true and were a crime, there was NOT more than one witness or other evidence for each crime.

IOW each separate accusation has only one witness with zero other evidence and 6 of 7 wouldn't even be a crime.

It also is not immoral to date a 16 year old regardless of your age. It isn't immoral to date a 14 year old regardless of your age. Provided all had gone through puberty and no sexual contact was made. Many will find it gross(including myself) in our culture but over 80% of the population of the planet would find it normal and perfectly acceptable

It is immoral to have sexual activity with someone outside of marriage regardless of their age.
It would also be immoral to sex even in marriage with a person who has not reached puberty.

Wow, they're basically comparing Roy Moore to Jesus Christ. Just more evidence that a lot of people in Alabama are nutjobs.

Definitely, especially now that Trump has overturned the so-called Johnson Amendment, which prohibits political donations and advocacy by religious organizations at the risk of losing their tax-exempt status. Since churches, mosques and synagogues will soon be able to freely back political candidates with monetary donations, they SHOULD lose their tax-exempt status.

There are a thousand reasons to not vote for Roy Moore besides these allegations.

Is this one of those churches where the women can't wear makeup or pants/shorts and they handle snakes?
