Chris Rufo: Insider explains what has gone disastrously wrong with Boeing.

LINK Worth reading, but here are the highlights.
Sad what's happening. Socialism abhors success.

To help explain what went wrong, I have been speaking with a Boeing insider who has direct knowledge of the company’s leadership decisions.
quote:
In this business, the workforce knows if you love the thing you are building or if it’s just another set of assets to you. At some point, you cannot recover with process what you have lost with love. And I think that is probably the most important story of all.
quote:
Status games rule every boardroom in the country. The DEI narrative is a very real thing, and, at Boeing, DEI got tied to the status game. It is the thing you embrace if you want to get ahead. It became a means to power.
quote:
We need to tear off the veil of all this coded language that is being used everywhere, and our elites need to recover some sense of service to people. They think they have it already because they are reciting these shibboleths of moral virtue: “I am serving because I am repeating what everyone else is saying about DEI.” It’s a form of cheap self-love that is being embraced by leaders. If you pay the tax to the DEI gods or the ESG gods and use coded language with your workforce, it absolves you of the hard work of really leading.

DEI will destroy whatever it touches.
It's certain death for every organization it infects.

If you work in an Amazon Warehouse, it’s sad
If you work at Home Depot, it’s sad
If you fly or maintain commercial airliners, it’s not sad, it’s dangerous and will be deadly

If you want some entertainment, lookup Chris Rufo vs. Mark Cuban on DEI. Rufo absolutely eviscerates Cuban on how DEI actually works and what it actually is (racism dressed up in nice language).

The government allowing Boeing to self-inspect hasn't helped.

Where are the planes being manufactured?

Works for Elon though.

The Rufo/Cuban exchange exposes Cuban for the intellectual lightweight that he is. He got lucky making his fortune and he's way out of his depth in any kind of serious discussion. Sad thing is, there are a whole bunch of 'elites' and/or very wealthy people who are as stupid as Cuban is, yet wielding enormous influence in our society and culture.

That is actually really intelligent. One of the lessons that COVID taught us is that we have a serious lack of leadership in this country.
And Cuban - right place/right time. I was a student at Mississippi State and we had a guy in our dorm that built the same exact product that he built at Indiana to listen to basketball games on the radio. Cuban was better at marketing and called it broadcast.com and sold it for billions.
Other than the Dallas Mavericks (and every sports franchise in the country has increased exponentially with media rights), his investments have been pretty bad.
He's a great marketer though.

Including our lives when touched by healthcare and lowering standards of entry, and then the instruction will be watered down with each passing generation.

a lot of people were saying Russian Airplanes are going to start falling out of the sky with the lack of western parts and tool due to sanctions.
I'd say they dodged the DIE bullet.

This is the true reason why, Boeing being cheap as frick led to the current state we have now. Not the newest right wing boogey man
Also congrats on the right wing think tank piece of some random Boeing insider

There may come a time for a tell all, but for now you should know Boeing was DEI before DEI was cool. And DEI is one of their core values. It's who they are.
Boeing lives off the momentum inherited from a previous era. And there are so many Boeing employees who are competent and invest excellence in their workmanship. But they are polluting their streams with DEI madness.
So now someone is hired or promoted when they shouldn't have been and few will speak our for fear of being labeled a racist, etc. It's not a healthy culture for sustaining excellence.

The McDonnell Douglas merger ruined Boeing. They took it over and ran it into the ground.
Luckily we have Elon so we don't need Boeing for space. We just need Lockheed to get back into commercial aircraft.

quote:Yeah. It was definitely more profitable to just let 737’s crash. They mad sooo much money from that.

quote:Boeing has historically produced a ton of research. Its slowed to a trickle since the merger. I’m sure it wasn’t directly profitable — but it helped over the long run. The 777 and 787 couldn’t be designed by Boeing today.

Probably was implemented at least partially on the McKinsey reports which have since been discovered to be absolute garbage.
