Considering how they reacted to a few Russian Facebook ads in 2016, I’m sure we will hear from the Democrats and the media anytime now how they’re outraged over this foreign interference in our coming election.

There are literally HUNDREDS of examples of Filth Blue Checkers doing what you posted on Twitter. It is disgusting and shameful, but again, these are Progressives on a Progressive platform.
The left is completely bought in to supporting China now and their propaganda. We have an enemy sitting right here in the US, and they hate their fellow citizens more than they hate the country that did this.

Yesterday I called two of our favorite Chinese restaurants here in Baton Rouge to order take out (of course) and both of them were closed.
This was around 6 PM so it was prime supper ordering time.
We've been ordering from them for close to 10 years.
Is there a backlash against Chinese owned businesses that has caused Chinese restaurants to have to close down?

I would advise China to use propaganda and direct influence of US politicians and corporatists to sway the US attitude towards China. "Blame Trump" is the obvious correct propaganda message, because it will receive ample support from domestic US entities such as US mass media and the US Democratic Party.
There will be plenty of time later to bribe the powerful and hire lawyers to maintain the status quo ante-Trump. Right now the main propaganda effort for China should focus on maximizing the use of domestic US entities (mass media and Democratic Party) in order to BLAME TRUMP.
Whenever China's propaganda objectives dove-tail completely with US domestic-entity propaganda objectives, China's efforts have the best chance of success.
With a bit of luck, China can look forward to the restoration of the Clinton-Obama Era of US-China relations.
China is good friend to USA. Trump is bad.
