Another coincidence is that Operation Warp Speed was said to be his brainchild, and he was also a consultant to a company called Emergent BioSolutions that received a >$600M contract to develop a couple of the jabs.

We've been in a multifront war for decades now. Iran has been attacking us for 47 years.
So far, this one is being contained by our Navy. Which would be the primary combatants if this gets hot with China. We keep the blockade on Hormuz and add Mallaca Straits which we just signed a new agreement with the locals to make sure we've got bases to pull that off easily and China goes up in riots and flames in two months without us doing much else.

In a sadist sorta way, I'm kind of hoping this pisses off China and they act on their threats.
We've needed to decouple from China for far too long. We depend on them to survive and it's disgusting.

I agree. Americans will surely quit buying anything Chinese immediately if China caused an issue. Japan is just itching for an excuse to wreak havoc on China.

I saw an economics guy say the other day they can immediately pop the AI bubble by stopping our imports of rare earth/magnets.
I agree we should not be dependent on them for pharmaceuticals.

Yeah the Japan front you are right we could have handled(without the nukes doubtful) but most certainly not the European front on our own.
