People keep thinking Chinese tech is cheap, but they are being lied to.

They are playing an economic game and are starting to win. This is exactly why Trump banned Chinese products like DJI, it has nothing to do with safety or spying. Our own government can't realistically claim that while spying on us nearly 100% of the time.

It's about M O N E Y.

My theory is that American corporations like Apple, for example, have been releasing "incremental" updates to their products for decades just to suck more money from their customers instead of releasing real advances.

Then here comes China, stealing our tech and doing what we won't do just to spite us. They are making massive technological leaps based on our own tech to screw over our tech economy. And what is our answer instead of actually meeting the challenge? Our corporations buy off our politicians so they will ban Chinese products, allowing these companies to continue milking the American consumer.

Help us understand your POV. Details matter.

List some better products China is producing that are the result of stealing our tech.

And which superior Chinese products can you not get because they are banned?

The U.S. has done itself no favors after massive investments in China over the last 20 years (though that has greatly tapered off).

Unlike Japanese cars in the ‘70’s where they just out-designed our lethargic, protected auto industry.

My POV is irrelevant. But if you must know, I work in tech.

If you start paying attention at all, you'll see the recently released Smart phones, cameras, EV vehicles, etc from China have far surpassed American products. It really isn't close either.

Go on youtube and watch Americans who have managed to get and review these products. It's very frustrating to see that we, as Americans, are falling behind the world in everyday tech because our government is bought off by corporate greed and private equity,

Some things may be stolen while others are ‘given’ away.

China doesn't create jack. Everything that they sell was stolen from another business who innovates.

Well...yeah

That's one of my main points. They are revealing how much tech our own companies keep from us at lower prices

Sure they stole some of it, but I would argue they were given much of it also

So it worked out better for all; we’re getting better products.

Yep, what about all that wonderful military tech they sold Iran that did such a wonderful job thwarting the US/IDF attacks.?

It is clear that they have advance well beyond their theft.

Duh, if you manufacture your product in China can you really expect the technology to not be pilfered?

I can now buy an 80in 4k TV that cost less than an iPhone or Galaxy. We are being ripped off big time.

Why would I want a Norinco SKS? Would my life be better with one?

Is this something most people know about?

Have they figured out how to farm new humans left? Anything they have is going away when their population bomb hoes off.

This is terribly naive, and underestimating reality. The idea China doesn't innovate is... decades out of date.
