Not going to lie, that video is hilarious

Wow what a pathetic loser of a post. Tech is part of the game. We gave the world the digital age with our risk taking, our intelligence, our entrepreneurial spirit.
China just steals the IP and hopes they can remotely keep up. Now go cry more.

That is how I picture China now (sweat shops), but they have to work harder than that
That is how a lot of them are today. Plus from the factory floor you can see into the bathrooms, which have long drop toilets. They want to make sure workers are wasting time in the toilet, so there is a glass wall.

Well the OP said it was done with AI. So there goes your "China is funny" take. Probably more accurate to go with the "China is a-hole" view.

Did an alien from Mars show up and just magically hand tech to Americans only?
I think you misspelled "ingenuity".
This might be the worst take I've ever seen on this board.

Includes technology.
Which is why we need more competition, not less. Innovation and tech will alway keep us ahead in the manufacturing economy.

The point of this video is that spoiled Americans are ill equipped to do the kind of mundane, repetitious, tedious and low wage work that the poor and hungry Chinese are grateful for. The point is valid, as even the poorest of Americans live well above that of Chinese poor. Albeit many poor Americans in 'ghetto' culture/environments, or even the 'Rust Belt', are spiritually in a visionary death spiral. That is the reason that drugs have become a high-demand commodity.
Constitutional Republic Freedoms are only long enjoyed by "a moral and religious people", I.e., a disciplined and self-policing populous. To the degree that the people do not possess said 'morality', to that degree Freedom is necessarily lost to an Authoritarian State. Of the which China is.
I suspect that the Chinese poor are far more moral, disciplined and apt to gratefully accept low wage work than the American poor but having never visited them I don't know. I know one thing, we have a serious 'poor' problem and the CCP knows it and will exploit that weakness. Take away all the low wage, subsidized goodies that our poor have become accustomed to and they will go rogue, forcing us to become Authoritarian just like they are. And that would be a win for them. I think.
The coming wave of High Tech will change the whole dynamic. For good and bad as the transition occurs.

Sadly…Video is spot on. America loves to work smart not hard….and right, we need soooo many more jobs in this country right now. Even though we have the lowest unemployment rate in the world and just had an absolute stellar jobs report. Keep drinking the koolaid folks.

A good deal of that technology originated here (or the West in general..) and was stolen by China or moved to China by firms when they shifted manufacturing to China. And still does not out produce us.
Also, the average American worker values quality over other workers in just about any other culture. Its the reason while every single company that has moved manufacturing to China has American staff and American trained staff over the QC. Our company buys goods directly from manufacturers in China and I can tell you many crazy stories (in a very bad way) of their attitude towards the companies that buy from them.
The "only because.." shows a staggering level of ignorance towards the realities of doing business with companies in China.

Remember Madeline Albright saying that we "shouldn't be the only Superpower...". And not long after the CCP had our most advanced fighter jet blueprints. And don't think that Mitch McConnell was not on board with this re the manufacturing end. Many profiteering politicos and corporate interests took it to the bank and rationalized such as being a good faith, well meaning and 'bi-partisan' partner with a Communist Nation. Kinda like Trump's "Snake Song".
Poor Humanity. Genetics and complex, Darwinian psychology and they just can't cut when the power really gets big. "Sewn in corruption...raised incorruptible...". Lord Jesus come quickly.

Other than most being fat, what’s the problem? I see people with jobs making stuff. Those plants would be an economic positive to many middle America small towns and cities. The menial jobs aren’t the only ones created, you have management, HR, accounting, sales, logistics, inventory management, maintenance. Then all the local businesses that help support the plant by providing goods and services

Those Amazon workers are unskilled too.

But now that the Mexicans are gone fat, dumb, white dude has to do a shitty job.
Its justice and irony all rolled in to one.

What you see is unskilled labor, that from a non-union standpoint are worth on average 17 or 18/hr. No one in the United States wants those jobs, unless they're unionized. The only exception is the "millions and millions" of Mexicans Trump promised to deport but won't. They'll want those jobs for sure.

But is it?
If the work will not be done in Chinese sweat shops, perhaps we automate. Perhaps we just live without cheap, inferior goods? How much rubber dog shite do Americans really need?
I don't think the Chinese are in nearly the strong negotiating position that the OMB crowd would like to believe.

China ain't shite. I know for a fact that they won't do anything cause General Tso's chicken.

That, ummm... In certain ways, that video was remarkably accurate.
But I'd rather be employing unhealthy adults than relying on child labor and enslaved Uygurs while posturing as holding the moral highground.
