But it's not like you listed you SSN or birthday or anything like that along with your real name. Many other simpler possibilities exist that would make much more sense than using this site.

I'm not unsympathetic, I just doubt this site had anything to do with your ID theft. There's a hundred easier ways to do that.

As a hard-shell libertarian, I know that my opinions and viewpoints would push the boundaries of acceptable rhetoric on most social media platforms but I never once have felt that I was targeted because I expressed an unpopular or controversial political opinion.
I have seen a handful of threads that I have participated in be deleted but in every instance I believe it was because of a breach of site protocol, not because of political ideology.
As a refugee from a similar free-wheeling political discussion board that very likely was shuttered because of corporate censorship, I just want to say that no one here should take this site for granted.
I love this den of crazed sanity!

Here is the thing about these other social media sites, they are troubling because they are conflating justified salty political speech with threats. Here we had an election stolen, plain as day, then Trump gets shite-canned and blamed because he said folks should peacefully march on the Capital? How ludicrous and yet these tech companies somehow deem Trump trying to urge his followers to stand up for their right to vote as a bannable threat?
