Lesson learned too because CFA didnt cave to the ridiculousness.

Cathy easily could've resigned due to the "media pressure", they easily could've put out some BS PR statement and did a donation to some token charity, yada yada to "ammend" for the "wrong think"

Instead, they just kept on doing what they did to be successful.

the fact it's good food with excellent customer service is the main reason. What kind of loser chooses where to eat based on politics?

Ask your radical leftist buddies that falsely accuse chik fil a of being an anti homosexual company.

Particularly as CFA isn't very overt in political matters. They're a private Christian company, so perhaps if you're a militant atheist it makes sense to oppose them. But other than promoting faith and community, you have to dig to find these controversial positions taken by CFA.

Contrast that with say, Ben and Jerry, who are very upfront, hostile, radical leftists. I say that because it's the only food item I can think of I actually avoid for political reasons.

In the aftermath of the PULSE nightclub shootings in Orlando, one company stepped up to offer free food to victims, first responders and blood donors. Anyone care to guess who that was?
Hint...it wasn't Popeyes

It was sure good enough for Democratic lawmakers when they staged their childish "sit in"...ironically, because of the PULSE shootings.
Hypocrisy is delicious

Liberals are too stupid to realize these 'boycotts' or 'bans' or protests have the opposite effect.

Especially when its just a fricking chicken restaurant.

I'd do the same and I really don't care all that much about political involvement. I also mention it because the product is decent/good (like CFA). Usually there are plenty of non-political reasons to avoid leftist companies, so I can't say it's purely political most of the time.

Ben & Jerry have nothing to do with the company anymore.

August 3, 2000: Ben & Jerry’s becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Unilever. Through a unique acquisition agreement, an independent Board of Directors is created to provide leadership focused on preserving and expanding Ben & Jerry's social mission, brand integrity, and product quality. We call them the B.O.D. (Which means we really like them.)

They've engaged in a ton of social justice, anti-conservative, etc. political advocacy since the sale. I have no idea whether B&J are leading that effort but it's still a very radicalized entity.

Sales would have quadrupled if they hadn't messed up the sauce for 2-3 years.

Or... People do care, and although Chick FIL A had tasty food that supported a baseline level of sales, and it was their very public stand for traditionalism that won them the extra business.

I go out of my way to patronize them over other fast food places.

Putting my money where my mouth is so to speak.

Exactly. I say this in every CFA thread. They could change the name to Chik Fil Jihad and i'd still go there once a week minimum.

I got an email for a free sandwich Monday just because.

Going there now.

Well, that, and sometimes, "outrage" campaigns actually turn in to marketing FOR the company.

Any attention is good advertising.

Their food isn't really anything special. Their service is the gold standard and that's why people go there
