Chick-fil-A’s annual sales have more than doubled since LGBT and liberal groups began calling for a boycott of the restaurant in 2012, according to a new analysis.

In 2012, when controversy arose over the CEO’s comments about same-sex marriage, sales totaled $4.6 billion, up from $4.1 billion the year before.

In 2018, sales totaled $10.46 billion, making it the third-largest restaurant in the United States behind McDonald’s and Starbucks.

Part of the media's job is to make it appear as if there is an alternate reality

If you believed everything the media said you'd think 90% of Americans are fully on board with the full spectrum of the LGBT agenda with those 10% being backward racist rednecks from the South resistant to any change.

In reality, I bet secretly that most Americans still are not on board with it all

And it very likely has little to 0 to do with their political stance on the subject.

Because a huge population (folks who like good service, good food, clean dining room, polite people AND Christians) did a counter "buycott" that completed negated the boycott by folks who are too good for fast food, anyway.

Purdue's faculty tried to block CFA opening a shop on campus that had been requested by the students and will be owned by a female Purdue grad. University didn't bow to their nutjob demands.

According to the Lafayette Journal & Courier, there is “overwhelming demand” for a permanent Chick-fil-A presence on campus, and the franchise owner will be a female Purdue graduate who “has signed and observed a commitment of equal access and treatment in her employment and service practices.”

Likely because they don't have one.

Or actually this, the boycott would've never affected them by such a small group of people.

It's a shame more don't stand up to these ridiculous "boycotts".

It was a terrible target for a terrible reason. One of their senior cats supported traditional marriage. I supported traditional marriage. LOTS of folks supported the traditional, thousands of years old definition of marriage for a lot of really good reasons. Doing so does not make one a bigot.

I was for defending traditional marriage because it deserved defending, but I was simultaneously for civil unions or other equivalent arrangements to allow grown folks to arrange their affairs they way they saw fit. Decouple it from sexuality - allow gays, lesbians, elderly widowed sisters, army buddies, whatever, to enter into such arrangements to stand alongside (not above or below) marriage.

My way was "too reasonable", "too practical", so a sharply divided SCOTUS had to tear down literal millennia of Western Civilization's family law. So, now it is done. I'm not hateful, bitter or spiteful about it. Good for the LGBT community. Happy for them. It's not like we haven't already discarded the nuclear family in the West, anyway.

Once you shed the last foundation of your culture, cultural extinction cannot be that far away. And it isn't.

Came here to post this. The whole kerfuffle was over the owner's offhand answer to a question. That's it. There's never been an official company stance on the issue. Gays are openly welcomed as customers and franchisees.

Yet the leftist cabal has remained in a furor against the entire company. Just a deranged lot.

It is amazing it’s now the third largest restaurant in the US. I didn’t think there were that many good people in the world to man all those locations.

Serious question.

Has a CFA ever closed because they did not have enough business?

Granted it's not all of the reason, but them standing up for their Christian beliefs helped for sure. If they didn't, and buckled, they wouldn't have had the free advertisment. Also, would have many not go there as much to experience their good food, cleaniness, and great service. Get them in the door....their political stance, keep them...the rest (and sticking to their guns on the political stance). Christians don't have faith in who does that anymore in this ebb and flow society, so building/keeping that trust is key.
