The wife & I took the Amtrak Mardi Gras line from NO to Mobile today. Wandered around downtown Mobile and the weather is absolutely wonderful.

Wait... what was the question? Did something important happen?

Well it’s me but privileges come in lieu of loss of everything else. The whole statement was a bit tongue in cheek as I’m not suffering from shutdown and can go on till 2026 elections. But those honey do’s are 24/7 lately

Not affected myself but feel for the military enlisted ranks and families.

That was me 55 years ago.

I have not noticed one bit of difference in the lives of anyone. Not one person has even mentioned anything at all about a shutdown.

Did it even happen?

I don’t live in NY or Chicago, and I don’t get paid by green fakery in a blue state.

So no, impact other than increased enjoyment of the news!

Nothing really, except I don't have to worry about going to work Monday. Just another "KE" coded day, so I'm getting a lot of much put off maintenance done on mine and my fiancée's trucks. Did the front end on her Silverado (frick GM for riveted lower ball joints). Pulling the supercharger on my truck to change out its oil and go through the drive setup, probably order bearings and a new belt.

Accurate statement before the shutdown, so no effect I see.

Got into Rocky Mountain National Park today on the Grand Lake side with no reservation, no wait, and no fees.

I couldn't verify that my mobile number was on the Federal Do Not Call Registry via their website.

Positively gutted.
