This must be why my covid case was mild. I live outside.

This is why when you do get sick and are laid up in bed you really should be sitting outside soaking up some rays and getting fresh air.

Some overseas hospitals wheel their patients outside everyday.

Your body makes vitamin D naturally but it needs UV light to activate it. Get off your arse(s) and go for a 15-30 minute walk in the afternoon and you do not even have to have your vitamin D levels checked (if you are only concerned about not catching covid).

I have also read that during the late fall, winter, and early spring months, regardless of how much time is spent outside, our bodies cannot produce enough Vitamin D. This is likely due to the reduced UV light during these months.

All of the observations cited in the article about the relationship between Covid and Vitamin D also apply to flu and Vitamin D. The article uses these observations to suggest there is no such thing as a flu season. What we actually have is a Vitamin D deficiency season.

One of the biggest take-aways from this Covid era is that it has shed light on the importance of supplementing with Vitamin D.

Vitamin D works!

I keep high dosing Vitamin D(D3), Vitamin C, and Zinc...I will take my chances with this route vs this vaccine.

My NP wife has been on Vit D for good many years. She had mild osteopenia and her Vit D level was 0-3 range. She has been exposed to over a hundred Covid patients and 1/2 staff at her clinic got it and she never got it.Everybody in the family got on Vit D and Zinc early on and none of us got it.We had family get togethers as usual and no one got it.
I’ve read several studies where the vast majority of Covid patients in hospitals had low Vit D levels.

I am curious if Seasonal Affective Disorder that some people get in the winter is a manifestation of Vit D deficiency.I had an aunt that had it bad and had a full spectrum light she would sit under in the winter. She said it helped.

Sorry, this is incorrect. During certain times of the year, it doesn’t matter how much you are outside, your Vit D levels will drop and most likely be deficient. Do some research.

This person knows his shite. Take 1 K2 and 1 D3 and you'll be good to go.

10 Performance makes a K2/D3 sublingual.

I take it every day.

I had speculated at very the beginning of the covid pandemic that since the majority of the cases were in Seattle and NYC it had something to do with lack of sun exposure and D3 levels, Started taking it then, and later added zinc and k2.

It does help....yet I had it twice and was taking D and Zinc and obeying the rules.

I learned I was not taking enough D....my cardiologists got me straight on that.

You can supplement vitamin d3 bit you need enough cholesterol to synthesize it.

Fyi... vit d and healthy cholesterol (not too low) levels often correspond with total testosterone in men.
