I was drawing a comparison between two things.
The first thing is the popular theme on this, to wit: “it’s okay to both criticize and support your favorite politician at the same time”. However, it’s typically put in much snarkier terms.
The second thing, which is my argument for a good comparison, is that it’s also okay to criticize the criticism, full stop.
**See, the context in which I even bring this up is when a Trump-favoring poster dare jump in one of those many Trump “criticism” circle jerks and post with disagreement, they’re hit from multiple directions with the aforementioned popular theme, or tagline, as it were. The obvious insinuation to/towards the daring Trump supporter being that you’re a brainwashed cultist physically incapable of criticizing your orange leader, unless you agree will agree with xyz criticism. (just a little levity there)
Anyhow, that got away from me a little at the end there, but hope it helps. I bet it’ll help you. Some of the others there, I have my doubts.

If there’s something I said that came across as ridicule or an attempt to shut you down, point it out and we can talk about it. Otherwise, your broader point is fair enough, but I’m still not really seeing how it connects to what I actually said or why it was directed at me in particular.

By the way, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but aside from the occasional sporting jab back and forth, I really don’t come here to troll, and when I do I'm matching energy. Sure, I enjoy giving SirWinston and STDcuck shite. It’s basically "on sight" with those two. But generally I’d much rather have a reasonable debate with someone arguing in good faith.
You and I disagree 95% of the time, but I’ve always respected you as someone who argues in good faith, and I’d like to think that respect goes both ways. So, respectfully, it’s a little disappointing when you respond to me as though I’m just trolling you instead of actually engaging with what I said.

Well, you do have me thinking. Perhaps I got caught up in a case of “right idea, wrong person.” If I came across as dismissive of you, I would rescind any such idea. That’s the problem. He sold everyone a bill of goods thinking that he was a man truly for the people. He never was. Yes but he has also made some really just dumb political decisions. In spite of all of that he has still thrown more strikes than balls but he is starting to throw more wild pitches and that is a concern.
Still, my biggest fear isn’t what Trump does or doesn’t do over the next 2 years. My concern is that, due to his ego and desire for personal validation, coupled with his merry Mensa bands of seal-clappers, he will try to dominate the next Presidential election cycle and we will end up with whomever he endorses and not the best candidate.
