you can literally see his nipples poking through his tee shirt - so unless he was wearing a nipple-less vest - no he wasnt.

He was actually wearing the nippled Batsuit from the George Clooney Batman movie.

a bullet proof vest and plates are different things designed to stop different types of rounds. OP said "vest", which would't have done anything to stop 30-06. and plates are indeed cumbersome and not something i would want to wear all day unless i knew i was under immanent danger, but i guess that is a matter of opinion.

You ever shot a deer in the shoulder and see the bullet come out its arse? I have.

If this pic from blueboy is legit(it sure looks legit), then this body armor issue is settled. He wasn't wearing anything.
Period, the end.

Deer shoulder is denser than a human clavicle

And at what angle did you shoot this unicorn. Angling toward you or angling away

It was standing over me. I woke up and it was staring down at me with red eyes. I was inverted.

Even if he was, soft armor isn't even slowing 30.06 down. In order to stop a high-powered rifle and ricochet it up to his neck, he'd have to have steel/ceramic heavy plates. And even those are designed to fragment and absorb projectiles, not to redirect them.

Someone slowed down the video and backed it up to the entry point. If that was the exit and the amount of blood I saw just after then, the exit would be massive. But, he was inch away from surviving. Sad!

Yeah, that photo rules out the vest theory. First I've seen it.

Maybe the vest had fake nipples.

Regardless if he had a vest on or not. Most regular vests offer no protection to your neck and you need heavy protection for a rifle round. There is a guy on YouTube that likes to fire rounds on different types of materials. I think he did a vest and fired different size rounds.

But at least his nipples are not pierced like Coach Ryan Day who had his headlights on and his nipple rings were showing.

165 grain bullet

Is that what it was?

30-06 ammo is available in as light as 125 grain. A lighter bullet would have less energy and more tendency to deflect.
