Correct. You can go to just about any CK video online from one of these events and see the bluetooth mic on his shirt. The little black square is the magnet and it holds the microphone from the other side of the shirt. The mic is on the inside of his shirt.

Anyone discussed the fact that Charlie was wearing a chest plate? Bullet ricocheted and sliced his neck.
You can literally see his nipples through his shirt and the rounding of his pecs. He was not wearing plates.

Even if he was, there’s no way his security team would give him steel plates to wear. There are a ton of better options that are lighter and don’t have a risk of ricochet or spalling like steel.

Stop posting videos of the assassination... for the love of God, please stop posting videos of this... nobody wants to see this,
Ive refused to watch the actual shooting. I found that shite was destroying my humanity.
Its bad enough knowing what happened.

Wow, that is a chilling view. A rooftop spotter would have seen the shooter. So sad.
One of the security experts on FNC last night was saying that between the soft perimeters of Butler and Mar-a-Lago, a bad precedent was set, and it was only a matter of time before a tragedy like this would happen. Conservative political events need way better security.

Same here.... I clicked on a thread right after it happened and im so glad that I did not click play on the video (which would be my natural reaction)... I do not enjoy seeing people killed. I've seen my fare share of death and people dying in front of me, in real life, and I do not want any more of it... posting gore and death on this website is not why I come here, and its damn sure not something I want to debate
A good man died trying to find common ground with those he disagreed with... a good man died trying to give a platform to other ideas.... how in the world is this acceptable?? He literally gave them a microphone and cameras to express their beliefs and now he's dead.... and people on here want to debate on trajectory of the bullet and how it entered his body and what caused what damage...
It sickening what society has become... im done with it all, and I pray for my children for the world they will enter into... is this society broken? Is this the best we can do? I don't know, but I do know that I want no part of this crap

Total agreement.
Life can be dehumanizing enough, I dont need to do it to myself. I watched a beheading video years ago and decided I never wanted to get accustomed to watching that.

I agree Roger
It seems to me that dehumanizing is sadly, and slowly becoming the norm and I am starting to feel the ramifications... between endless wars, political violence, and every day violence around the country, that we have desensitized ourselves to the heinous atrocities in which we live... And on this day of all days.. 9/11... its becoming too much
I understand that violence has always been the human condition as far back as written records (and even before), but I truly believe we can be better than this... I truly believe each and every one of us has a better answer
Charlie's answer was to talk it out, and give compassion and civility to the other side... It cost him his life... where do we go from here? Idk... I honestly have no idea... Maybe its because his view was to treat others with respect while they treated him as a monster... I refuse to think of others as monsters even though they clearly exist, just as he did...perhaps that is the wrong perception, but i sincerely hope it is
Something is severely wrong here... that is plainly and painfully clear... and it cost a good man his life, just as it cost thousands of other people their lives when the towers fell

I feel that we're in a social spiral that cannot be escaped.
We have a political activist murdered.
The people who staunchly disagree with him celebrate it.
The response of some people who agree with the activist seems to amount to the similar sort of language from the other side that killed that activist.
Inevitably have another Minnesota politician situation or worse like a popular national left politician.
Inevitable to reprisal from the left.
etc, etc, etc.
And I don't think anyone is going to accept someone taking control of the situation from the left or the right because it will undoubtedly smack of partisanship. The middle 2/3 of this country doesn't want The Years of Lead US Edition. That ain't even the left or right...that is the centrists and most sensible left or right minded people.
I just feel so down about where this country is heading lately...

Anyone know at what point does FBI get involved in these type of crimes/investigation? Is it because Kirk was a high profile guy?
Murder seems like a city level protocol initially

Yeah, high profile and clearly their capacity is merited in this case. FBI does often end up helping out with murder cases. Especially ones without a clear suspect. This is probably a more active level than normal due to the victim's position and it almost certainly being political violence that will merit a federal charge.

Having a podcaster lead the FBI, what could go wrong?
