Damn and I just opened up a CS account since they seemed somewhat unpolitical and was going ti rollover an IRA. Are any of these institutions dont suck?

Reading through the posts on r/wallstreetbets, many think the market almost exploded due to lack of shares to trade not just of GME, but everything. Like seconds away from NASDAQ armageddon.

Sounds like a good time for firms to start calling the fricking shorts then.

Remember when media and TV told us it was only Republicans protecting the corruption on Wall Street?

Schwab was working for me today, albeit a little buggy. Had to attempt some trades multiple times before it would go through.

I had trouble logging in first thing this morning but I think it was just them being overwhelmed. I’ve had no issues with any trades the past few days.

I put a limit order in but the price rose quickly and didn’t fill for several minutes and I didn’t want to chase the price so I cancelled the order. Schwab didn’t restrict the order.

They're all gonna do the same thing
That's why it pissed me off so much that so many supposedly Patriotic Americans were against the Capitol storming. Whether it was Antifa, BLM, or Trump supporters. People are going to wish pretty damn soon they would have burnt it down.
This is not going to end well for the average American.

Schwab was working today. You could buy the short squeeze stocks. There was a point in which I couldn’t search for them though but things returned to normal. Overall I’d be very comfortable with an established brokerage like Schwab compared to some of the newer ones like RH etc...

We're talking about the same people that exaggerated Q posts. Can they do something good? Yes, but most are wackos that blow everything out of proportion. They affected a couple stocks, it's not like they created a flash crash or anything like Wall Street did.

quote:Same here. I just went back through the messages Schwab posted today regarding trading restrictions and the only one I found related to GME was a tightening of the margin requirements on purchases.

That’s common for any stock that’s having abnormal volatility. I’ve seen Schwab do the same thing regarding Tesla over the years. It lowers the chance of having a margin call or a forced margin sale.
