Liberals would rather Iran nuke us all, themselves included, than give Trump an inch. I wonder what they’ll do with themselves when he is out of office.

Mate, there is no plan. Israel Leroy Jenkins'd us in, it didn't end quickly, and now everyone is failing around. We probably have reasonable minds like Caine trying to fend off lunatics.
“Mate” and “us” don’t seem to jive.

You say this as if Trump were the first President ever to hold office.

Wow Trump just caved. The regime has won, now it’s just trying to save face and find an exit strategy to sell to voters as a win

Who didn’t see that coming a mile away…... Trump eventually has to stop moving the goal posts and realize you can’t negotiate with terrorists. Every single IRGC facility, commander and their homes need to be flattened. Until you eliminate the IRGC Iran will always be a threat.

Trump was arrogant after Venezuela and thought Iran would be the same thing. Now he’s stuck, has no idea what he’s doing, and is being made to look like an arse.
Either he’s going to level the country to clean out the IRGC, or he’s going to take a loss on this. At this point, victory for Trump is to get told the strait will be opened, but he will not get the uranium.

I can get behind this, but these bumbling clowns will just frick that up too.

This is ridiculous. shite, some of us (including myself) have been saying for weeks that these negotiations are meaningless because they’re talking to the wrong people. The IRGC leaders have made it crystal clear that they’re not going to accept our terms and that they’re perfectly fine with dying for their cause. This is all just a huge waste of time. shite or get off the pot!!
No one knows what’s going on unless you are privy to classified info. News changes every 5 minutes. Everything is by design. One either trusts Don to accomplish our goals, including actual regime change, or not. If not, then people just tend to melt down on a daily basis.

People saying "taco" are ridiculous. Iran's military capability has been obliterated and the actions of the Iranian regime has set the country back decades. It won't be long now and the people of that country, and their regular Army forces, are going to kick the crazy bastards out.
Possibly. The blockade will collapse their economy. But the other side of this coin is the people don’t rise up and the regime clings to power and you end up hurting a whole lot of innocent people by creating a humanitarian crises where they have no food or basic items and their currency is worth zero, on top of the brutal regime killing any who show signs of fighting back.
It’s a gamble that can go either way

Otherwise, they win and will eventually make (and use) a nuke.
They are never going to use a nuke. They know that will ensure their destruction. They want it for the same reason that the North Koreans have it. As a deterrent so people stop fricking with them and they can continue their holy jihad against the West.
I don't see us bombing the Koreans back to the stone age to punish them for having nukes.

Reality is that we have largely reached the limits of airpower alone.
It’s this. Our options left are
1. Indiscriminately carpet bombing cities, power plants, bridges. Kills a ton of innocent civilians and is a war crime. Not a good option
2. Boots on the ground, go through every major city and eliminate regime holdouts, IRGC soldiers, any hidden missile or drone stockpiles, and get the uranium. Doable, but not what voters here support and will cost a lot of money and American lives. Would destroy Trump and GOP for several election cycles
3. Maintain blockade, hope they either make a deal we can accept and open the straits and give us uranium, or economic fallout leads to uprising and military desertions. Regime removed from within, new regime makes deal. < we are here
4. Say frick it, lick our wounds and pull out with the satisfaction it’ll take them years if not decades to rebuild. Hope they don’t make a nuke with enriched uranium and they agree to open Straits if we just leave. Can always bomb nuclear facilities again if they rebuild. Trump takes big political hit for “losing.” Not best option, but not the worst either.

ME military interventions are quagmires for a reason
Brutality rules over there for a reason. We are never willing to stoop to their level of brutality to actually win. We always think the civilians want freedom but it always turns out they either don’t have the guts to do what it takes to earn it or they don’t have the fighting and organizing skills, or resources, to mount a real coup. They fold in fear as soon as the brutal regime kills a few thousand of them

If you were going to tear up Obama's deal, you better have had something better planned. No matter what happens next, this is a big failure.
It’s not a huge failure. If the IRGC remains in control - which is worst case at this point, we can call it minimal or moderate success at best.
Because their ballistic missiles program is gone. Nukes are buried and isolated.
Ability to export material support to terrorist proxies are gone for a decade.
All wins. Just not the massive win a western government would bring in Tehran.

This will be the conflict that never ends because he'll be waiting on a deal that can never be made
Trump has to save face and any deal he cuts can’t look anything like Obama’s or he and his supporters will look like bigger idiots than usual. There aren’t many options for Trump
Posted on 4/21/26 at 6:12 pm to deltaland
It’s all meaningless without a complete regime change and retraction of uranium. Trump has talked tough but will his actions match his words? The IRGC has basically dared him, double dared him, and now triple dog dared him.

Right. It is pretty equal to Bush's Iraq WMD BS. The muslims are taking over other country's and putting their people in the governments that already have plenty of nukes.
Should be taking care of this country's muslim problem that is getting worse very quickly credit to obama.
How pathetic and embarrassing watching thousands of them praying to Allah by the world trade center site just 25 yrs later and installing one as mayor

There are no successes at this point without regime change.
I used the term Pyrrhic Victory previously…
There are only degrees of failure. Face saving failure and colossal failure.
The Strait will be threatened until the Regime is paid off…
