The question was about the emergency alert not being sent out. I'm not sure how it was disrespectful when it's a completely valid question.

Yes. The alerts were sent with increasing levels of severity beginning Tuesday night.
As is the norm most people treat these as simple notifications.
I do not fault the NWS or local news....they did their jobs. Ultimately, the responsibility for personal safety relies on each individual and those who manage these camps and RV parks. Going forward, the state or federal government will need to install a siren system equipped with level monitors at various stages along these rivers. The technology has been available for over 20 years....I believe Kerrville tried to get their citizens to pay for a system ~7 years ago and they balked.

With that, why does Trump, specifically, have to "answer for this" gotcha question days later, knowing that every local weather and safety officials have already said they did everything possible? This happened at 3-4AM. If this were happening in broad daylight, I could see a window where the likes of you could really make this an argument and cheer it on.
