IMHO both the GOP and the Dems want Trump and the MAGA Movement gone already. Both are tired of it.
They want a Dem in the White House so that they can all get back to Business As Usual in Wash DC.

There are plenty of warmongers in the democratic party and many also have ties to the Israeli lobby. I don't think it would have been that difficult to drum up support from Congress for this operation. It was at least worth attempting.
