Catholic Church bishops are 'afraid to offend' powerful Democrats, defrocked priest Frank Pavone says
Fr. Pavone says he's in 'a battle for the soul of the Catholic Church,' calls some bishops 'Democrat loyalists'
quote:
FIRST ON FOX: Outspoken Catholic priest and political activist Frank Pavone, the national director of the influential pro-life ministry Priests for Life who has been laicized, or dismissed, from the clerical state by the Catholic Church, told Fox News Digital this week that he is involved in a battle "for the soul of the Catholic Church."
He suggested, too, that the abortion issue is at the center of it.
Pavone, whose organization is headquartered in Titusville, Florida. also said that some bishops in the Church do not want to "offend" powerful Democrats and members of Congress — which is why they purposefully soften their pro-life message.
quote:
On Dec. 13, the Catholic bishops of the United States were informed that Pavone was laicized on Nov. 9 for his "blasphemous communications on social media, and for persistent disobedience of lawful instructions from his diocesan bishop," according to a Vatican statement.
Since 2016, "Pavone has posted tweets, Facebook statuses, videos and other social media postings urging support for the Republican Party, calling into question the validity of the 2020 presidential election and disparaging Democratic lawmakers," Catholic website Pillarcatholic.com reported.
quote:
Pavone served as a member of the campaign advisory group Catholics for Trump during the 2020 election, the same site noted.
Pavone explains issue from his viewpoint
Specifically, "they [meaning some in the Church hierarchy] got upset by a comment I made to someone who was arguing with me on Twitter, a Biden supporter," Pavone told Fox News Digital.
"It was in the midst of the nationwide frustration and anger of the 2020 election," he continued.
"I used the word ‘g**damn’ in a tweet, which I shouldn't have done, and normally never do."

Look no further than this ^^^ for the main reason they went after this priest.

Not sure if true or just sour grapes, but I would hope that no one who claims to be an under shepherd of Christ would care more for the opinions of man than the opinion of God. What ever happened to Peter and the apostles saying “we must obey God rather than men”?

“Good bye good men”
Read it if you want to understand what happened to the Catholic Church.
Yes I am Catholic and will remain one until my death but the leadership is corrupt

Same. I fight for the true Catholic faith on an almost daily basis. You’d be surprised how poorly received the message of a Christ is for some “Catholics”.
If Paul were alive today the American church and the church as a whole would have gotten a letter long ago.

I was told in new gay bill. Church doesn't marry the gay couples. They can lose tax exempt status. Next year, they probably going fund abortion on 3rd collection.

Maybe they are afraid the left will stop supporting pedophilia and homosexual clergy

I wonder how many left his church after that tongue lashing?

i have said this for years. every damn church is having an internal struggle/war between factions.
E.G. look at all the churches who now openly ordain and marry homosexuals.
We are getting closer and closer each day to jesus' return.

Does not matter how many. If more priest stood up and spoke the truth like him, there would be more people hearing what they need to hear.
The truth.

This is their #1 fear.
They really don’t follow the Bible at all, so what’s adoption of gay marriage or abortion for them if it keeps the money flowing to the Vatican?

As a cradle Catholic, I've always had the desire to attend mass to hear the readings and Homily. We set a path for our kids to grow up in the church just as my wife and I did.
But I have to say, it's been tough and sometimes I wonder why I still attend.
- The massive coverup of abuses by priests that were committed shows that the people running the church valued the name of the church over the lives of the victims.
-Money. Why/ where do my donations go to? Why is there a fund drive every year for retired priests and nuns? Like the church doesn't have enough money to provide some semblance of a pension type fund to care for the clergy without needing to hold their hand out for extra collections?
-Money. Instead of asking us to withhold donations to the church and instead direct that funding for humanitarian aid in Ukraine, we are asked to purchase less for our families to give.
-Politicians. Every Democrat that voted for any abortion laws or funding, was an outspoken supporter of abortion, abused power, etc should all be excommunicated from the church. But the pope chooses to give this a pass and criticize former president Trump for his stance on immigration.
-Immigration. The Pope gets all indignant about immigration for the US and other countries, while he sits behind walls protecting the Vatican.

If I were you I’d rethink giving money to Ukraine. Surely your donations won’t be used in the manner they say it will. That was your concern about the Catholic Church - I’d say Ukraine would be a greater concern. It’s one of the most corrupt countries in the world - a perfect playground for Biden and the democrats for money laundering.
It’s always about money.

I donate more to a local Baptist Church that I've known the preacher for many years.
He will visit the homes of those asking for help to make sure any support is legitimate.
And about Ukraine, I don't see the church selling it's gold collections to fund aid to Ukraine, they are asking us to do so. That's pretty hypocritical.
eta: I'm not voluntarily sending a dime to Ukraine

First, I am Catholic, born and raised.
Second, his statement would be more accurate had he said this: Most bishops do not want to offend Satan, their master.
Satan has infiltrated the church. Satan has infiltrated our gov't. Satan has infiltrated almost all major corporations. You are their prey. This is not figurative speech.
