Wasn’t there one Jewish guy who didn’t go in to work at the WTC that day who also had some very suspicious investments right before the attack where the attack made him a ton of money?

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey owns the WTC campus, as they did in 2001. LINK
Larry Silverstein won the 99 year lease to manage the WTC facilities in July 2001. His insurance policies covered acts of terrorism because the WTC was a known terrorist target, having already been attacked in years prior. The insurance policies didn't pay double the value of the towers. The lawsuits involving this issue revolved around how the policies defined an insured "occurrence" as the towers were hit by two separate planes. Some of the policies were worded in a way that defined the attacks as a single occurrence and paid out once, other policies were determined to have been worded in a way that treated the two planes hitting as separate insured occurrences.
