What are the US truckers waiting for?
Shut it all down for 6 months and see what a real “ insurrection” is when 300 million are hungry. Heck - maybe the 30 million illegals will go home

If the cops move in to force them out, they should all slash their tires and leave

Remember when conservatives were mad about protesters blocking roads and Republican-led state legislatures passed laws granting immunity to drivers who kill protesters with their cars?

Yes I also remember how those ''protesters'' start gangin up on cars, smashing them, and trying to get the conductors out of them to hit them to near death. Here is a great example of that

When the truckers start doing something similar call me.

Canadian truckers have made US truckers look weak or woke.

It's too late. If the Supreme Court had upheld the mandate or most states were locking down and pushing masks, I would say go for it. But, I just don't think the public support would be there now.

Good shut it all down truckers have the real power.

Sadly, no.

The only glorious aspect is that they are conflicted in that they will try to replace most truckers with robots but they also don't want to have to go to big daddy Elon for it.

I'm guessing they'll start giving grants and contracts out to others to do self-driving.

I’ll keep saying it. It doesn’t matter where they park or what road or bridge the block. Those truckers can accomplish the exact same thing parked at home or off in the middle of no where. You can’t force them to haul a damn thing if they are unwilling. Enjoy the shortages of everything Canada. Maybe people actually going hungry will teach you not to frick with the hands that feed you

So I was looking into this a little bit and here's what I found out (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of the facts)

About Jan 15 the Canadian government put in place a rule that Canadian truckers returning from US runs had to Covid test and quarantine. There was no mandate for them to be vaccinated to drive trucks within Canada.

About Jan 21 the US government put in place a rule that Canadian and Mexican truckers entering the US had to show evidence they've been vaxxed.

Seems to me that kind of negated the Canadian rule for Canadian truckers coming back from the US? So .. is this really now a matter of the about 10% of Canadian truckers who are not vaxxed protesting the US rule? If that be the case, I'm afraid I gotta look kinda sideways at that. US border policy is for us here in the US to argue about ... not to be dictated or coerced by a bunch of foreigners. If it were Mexican truckers protesting the policy, I bet they wouldn't be getting as much support within the US on this.

Did you know that's privately owned?

Seems crazy . Someone could buy it and they would own the Canadian and US government.
