Based on what evidence have you decided this?
I honestly don't know for certain what his motivation was. I can't see inside his mind. All I can do is look for and evaluate the evidence. Perhaps he was an antifa type. Perhaps also he was something of his own devise. There is evidence though pointing toward the Groyper ideology. (including and especially the messages on the shell casings)
It would not be too far of a reach for a young maga to gravitate to the Groyper thing though. Especially a gamer who is online a lot. The Groypers had a lot of hate for Kirk. The Fuentes people and the Turning Point folks are very much NOT allies, you know.

what is the likelihood of a fascist like Nick Fuentes’ groypers group would attack someone who is much more politically aligned with the Christian right, then the looney left liberals?
From that it seems you know little about Fuentes, the Groypers, their beef with Charlie Kirk, and the so-called "Groyper Wars". But I'm not here to educate you. It's a bit of a complicated (and crazy) history. I'll let you do your own homework on it - if you want to know more, that is.

"Because his friends said he was a leftist."
One anonymous person claimed to be his friend in high school and that he was a leftist.
That person has since retracted their statement and now says they didn't know him well at all. The Guardian (source of that claim) issued a retraction of that report today.

Only one person is responsible for this murder, so far as I'm concerned. Not any "side". Not leftists, not trannys, not even Nick Fuentes or his acolytes should that turn out to be the case.

What were his motivations, do you think?
And why do you discount the Groyper theory. It's pretty well known Kirk was as hated by that crowd as he was by the trans crowd.

Well, if you must know here name was Cindy and she passed away of pancreatic cancer a few years back. She was a wonderful wife and mother and I miss her tremendously.
But I know you're just trying to get my goat by attempting juvenile personal attacks. Presumably because you have nothing of substance to offer to the conversation. And from what I know of Charlie Kirk, which is a little bit, and I did before this shooting .. he didn't engage in personal attacks and wouldn't condone you doing it either.

I don't follow. So are you saying he is a former Groyper ... and is now a pro-trans leftist?

I'm not sympathetic to any murderer. How is it you think discussing what his motivations may have been make me sympathetic to him or his crime?
"One of you"? You mean this f'd up kid was like me? You mean he is a father, a husband of 33 years, a veteran, and a retired Special Agent for HSI? How would this guy possibly be one of mine (other than having a certain level of firearms proficiency, it seems, of course)

Well, seems your mind is made up about the whole thing.
Mine is not. I'm not discounting the "Groyper" theory. There is credible evidence for it. That evidence is not conclusive yet though, so we shall see.

Nobody has said he is a leftist ... (excepting a report from one anonymous "friend" who says they knew him back in high school. How many years ago was that?

Not my job to educate you. We're just having a discussion about a crime here.

I have no need to get paid for anything .I'm a 65 yo quite comfortably retired LEO. But as such ... I have a tendency to always try to follow the evidence and avoid jumping to conclusions.

One anonymous friend from what year of high school and how many years ago was that? How good of a friend was the person who said this?
People's politics can change over the years, you know. And especially so with younger folk. For all I know he could have gone left .... but I'm thinking based on the information I'm getting (from a wide variety of sources, right left & in-between) it's more likely he went the other way (farther right) The Fuentes/Groyper crowd had no love for Charlie Kirk - and they do promote the idea of "leaderless resistance" (as does Antifa, btw) It just seems to fit better that he likely bought into the Groyper ideology ... along with the messaging on the shell casing and some photos that have been released. (particularly the one of him crouching in a track suit ala Pepe the Frog)
But I'm a retired LEO. I follow the evidence and don't jump to conclusions.

You seem very certain of this? How do you know?
Fuentes is an advocate of "leaderless resistance" ... which would be in line with this guy taking it up on himself to take Kirk out.
But as I said .... I'm not jumping to any conclusions as to this guy's motivations. Just trying to put two and two (and three and four lol!) together and see what they add up to.

What do you mean by that?

In Denmark, during covid -19 , at right wing, anti restrictions movement,"Men in Black" used the song , with a new text but same chorus line. So in 85 years ownership went from Anti fascist resistance to resistance in general

I've been following this thing closely the past couple of days from a wide variety of sources (right, left, and everything in-between). Seems the engraving on the cartridges indicate this guy may have been a "Groyper"?
(Nick Fuentes fan)
The Groypers are not fond of Charlie Kirk and consider him to have been too moderate. They've been attempting to crash Kirk's events the past few years and Kirk's people have been actively trying to shut them out and disassociate themselves from the Fuentes crowd.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions though as to motive and affiliations ... and don't think others should either. All will come out in time. (maybe?)
