I get the philosophical point you’re making about MAID vs experimental treatments. My question was narrower though - is there actually a law or ruling that bans doctors from trying ivermectin for cancer in Canada? I’ve been trying to track down the specific statute or court case referenced in the tweet.

Is there a law against it here? I don't think so. But if you listen to user Penrod tell it doctors seem to think it's dangerous for some reason or another. And they also refused to prescribe it off label during the COVID scare.

None of that appeared in a text.

It's not illegal anyplace here afaik (there are lots of jurisdictions, though), but he said, "BREAKING NEWS: Helping Cancer patients is now ILLEGAL in Canada, as Alberta Premier Danielle Smith punishes over 9000 Cancer patients for exercising their "Right to Try" with Ivermectin.
Is there a new law or ruling?

Yeah, I think it is an outright lie. "As you know." As if that oncologist talks to his uncle about his patients personal information daily.

I het you can find it faster than I can, I'll give it a whirl though... I'm assuming since the SAP isn't any kind of "right" that the rejection of unproven treatments don't necessarily make the news. Anywho, lemme go google- already one premise of the OP has been "debunked", in that Canada does not, in fact, have ANY right to try.

Here's a quick search return.. it is basically illegal outside of a small number of trials.

Thanks and that matches what I'm seeing. It looks like there as here off-label prescribing itself isn’t illegal in Canada (doctors can prescribe approved drugs for other uses. The restrictions seem to be more about advertising or selling drugs with unsupported claims. I’m still trying to track down the specific law or ruling the tweet was referring to.

They're more than happy to kill you though.

That they are. Tightfisting ivermectin while handing out quick turn around euthanasia orders is disgusting.

Don't you dare promote or sell it though. If you do they'll frickin SWAT your arse.

Okay. It’s amazing how irrational and angry some get when their conspiracies meet reality.

Show this to your dumbass nephew. Maybe he will actually save someone's life.
He is rad onc, not oncology, so I doubt that would fall under his scope.
I read the abstract of the study and the introduction and conclusion. Nowhere did it address what I challenged, which was…

If you say it is a lie can you link the studies that show how Ivermecton, added to normal cancer protocols, affects patient side effects?
Dumbass!

Excellent point. Only professionals in the field should opine regarding that field, right?

Did anyone make the argument that cancer is indeed a parasite?

if only professionals could opine on topics the internets would grind to a halt

No, but it sure seems to behave like one. Apparently it adapts and evolves to become resistant to chemotherapy and anti-parasitics kill it.
