I live in a town of 900 with no police force that’s 4 miles down a country road to the catfish farm I manage which has a lake half a mile from it.
They won’t keep me home. I may not drive down the highway but they won’t keep me from tending to the farm and going fishing the rest of the time unless they have the resources to shut down a little traveled back road

The first responsibility of government is to keep the citizenry safe. A pandemic is reason enough for Martial Law to be declared and enforced by the military.
I thought it would be a novel flu virus that would bring this on. Coronaviruses have always been just nasty colds, until the 21st century. Now we’ve seen SARS, MERS and the very infectious COVID-19. They’re proving themselves to be scary indeed.
