Can the government force me to stay home?

I have a neighbor whose lesbian girlfriend works for the CDC. She's keeps harassing me that I should stay at home and not to go work. When i tell her fat fricking chance of that, she replies that I may be mandated to not leave the house. Is that possible?

Probably. At a minimum they could detain you and let it work it’s way thru the courts. At some point, might not be any reason to go out if nothing is open.

People need to eat, people need to work to eat. If you have symptoms, you should self isolate and contact a physician to get tested. It's that simple.

All they have to do is suspend Habeas Corpus and then everything is fair game. Lincoln did it during the civil war. The good news it will be extremely difficult to enforce without a full activation of our military.
