McCain–Feingold campaign financing reform
Was often part of the "group of X" that broke stalemates in the senate that existed because of that 60% rule.
Created the 9/11 commission
Helped normalize relations with Vietnam
Also worked a lot on veteran's issues
Helped foster indian gaming
And he wasn't always a war hawk (though he was mostly). He opposed the military action in Somalia for example.
