By contrast, the biggest pro-Israel lobbying group, the AIPAC, spends about $3 million a year.
This might be one of the biggest lies ever spoken on this board.
Try $127 Million
AIPAC’s PAC and AIPAC’ Super PAC UDP (United Democracy Project) spent nearly $126.9 million combined during the 2023-2024 election cycle, according to the FEC. This includes more than $55.2 million in donations given to federal candidates—at least $45.2 million of which went to the campaigns of members of the new 119th U.S. Congress, Sludge identified.
UDP made almost $61 million in disbursements last election cycle, of which around $37.9 million was independent expenditures supporting or opposing candidates for U.S. House.
The Adelson’s all by themselves spent over $215 million on the 2020 election supporting Trump and Republicans through super PACs and political groups.

My general opinion of Israel is I don’t care one way or the other. I probably prefer to have a semi-western government there instead of another extension of the Caliphate. But prefer Israel to work this out themselves. If they can’t protect their land, then so be it, that’s on them. If they need to turn the Gaza Strip into glass, then so be it. They can do what they have to do to defend their land and if in their best interest expand their territory. They can knock themselves out with all of that for all I care.
You've figured it out for yourself.

Why do so many Republican politicians like Cruz or Graham or whoever obsess about Israel?
Why do duck hunters care about ducks? It's because their livelihoods depend on ducks. Ducks feed them and their families.

It’s people taking positions on things that require nuance and they lack any foundational knowledge, understanding, or experience to have that nuance
What nuance is missed?
Did Israel not commit the very worst act of espionage upon us in our history?
Answer is yes
Did Israel not steal enrichment material from us to build their weapons?
Answer is yes
Has Israel not attacked our assets and claim "accident" even though no perceived enemy of Israel has assets even close to being as large or resembling that of the assets attacked?
Answer is yes
Does Israel not persecute and kill Palestinian Christians?
Answer is yes
Has Israel's leader not openly said he owns us and we will do whatever he says?
Answer is yes
Want me to continue? So far, what I have given is enough nuance to show that Israel is not our ally. Not even close. Allies do not treat each other in such a way.
If needed we can get into how Israel, as a foreign nation, buys and pays for our politicians.
Can't believe I need to do this but...
Israel =/= all Jews.
Israel = the nation's leadership, government and goals. Many Jews living within Israel do not agree with what they do.
Criticism of Israel's actions, which are true =/= anti-semitism. Not even close.

I have yet to meet an average ordinary American who gives one flying f*ck about Israel and how it affects their day to day lives.
The average ordinary American lacks any specialized knowledge in the realities of global security.
And the average global security specialist lacks any specialized knowledge about deficit, debt, and people who believe in MAGA strongly enough to elect a MAGA presidential candidate three times.

Thank you.
The level of ignorance by Americans is astounding.
Well… when one group owns the us media, Hollywood, and published all of our school books, it’s quite understandable.

Does that matter? It either makes a point or it doesn't.
The fact they have to rely on a lie for the attribution should answer your question. If it didn't matter, they'd be honest with the source.

Tell me, how much oil do we import from the region.
I will wait
Hint: it’s a small number
I will just tell you. It’ about 8% in total imports.
Why are we still getting it from the middle east then?

Israel good. Israel haters bad.

To diversify inputs id guess is iraqs small part and because the Saudis are ally’s for their part. Can easily be replaced with our own oil though or soon Venezuela.
Anyone who thinks this is about oil, at least us wanting oil for us and not having leverage on oil to China, is just wrong

The donor class IS Israel. They bought it all, lock, stock and barrel. And all it took was 30 pieces of silver here there and everywhere.
These two faces below say it all. Who looks like the proud owner? And who looks he knows he's owned? The body language is revealing.

See that small yellow area? The rest is muslim territory. Israel is our ally in the middle east.

It genuinely blows my mind that people can see all of this and just kind of shrug it off
Yes, even the admission from the SecDef as to whose "mission" this was won't wake them up from their comatose state.
They shrug it off because that's been part of the deeply ingrained programming. The degree of propaganda and repetition has locked any pattern recognition switch in the OFF position.
