That’s different. The EMTALA law provides for treatment and stabilization of a patient till they can be transferred to a more appropriate setting. Even if they don’t have the money to pay for the services rendered. It does not allow a patient to walk into a facility if it endangers others. Regardless of what’s going on with them.

they don't have the right to not give care to some one who can't pay but they can over a mask?
That’s too much logic for some in this thread. In their minds, the hospitals can do whatever they damn well please, no matter how destructive it is, just like they’ve been doing for the past two years.

And you probably have health insurance and pay your premiums so of course you are expected to comply. All that privilege

You are not qualified to use this word in a sentence.

You sound experienced. What a deadbeat.

Go to bed and sleep on it. Maybe in the morning you can figure out a way to reword your OP yet again to get more than 2 other morons to side with you. Good luck.

Lots of immunocompromised patients walking around hospitals. I don't mind if you dirty hillbillies have to mask up.

No I wont. I will do that willingly. Thats the difference. And it actually makes sense.
Why do you think wearing a mask during delivery makes sense?

You won’t win, but if you like throwing money away, you absolutely can sue them.

All you can do is give them more patients.

Oh really? Based on what exactly? Science?
They own the business. They can set the terms. Just like no shoes, no shirt, no service. If they want you to wear a suit and tie those are the rules. What restrictions there are on a business’ ability to dictate the terms of entry are few and far between.
Its called freedom. The businesses have it too. You don’t get to dictate terms to them in their building.
If you don’t like it, go elsewhere.

Of course you can sue a private business over how they run their business.
You can sue private businesses when they intentionally discriminate against protected classes.
Anyways, granted being against wearing a mask is not a protected class. Wearing a mask is something classes..
Can private businesses say no shirt. No shoes, no service?
They pretty certainly can. A business can say everyone has to wear a hat or you will not be served.
So, private businesses can dictate how their businesses operate as long as they are following the different codes, licensure requirements and do not discriminate against a protected class.
So a business can require someone to wear a mask if they wish to do so.
The good news is you can still sue. You can sue anyone, even without a good reason. You don't win, but you can sue.
Now, I'm not a lawyer but I have read the poliboard. That's better than staying in a holiday inn.

Emotional intelligence. You should look it up.
This is called being taught a lesson. They have the service that you want. They withheld said service because you acted like a child. It's unfortunate that it could have been at the expense of your pregnant wife...but you do you bro. Way to own the libs.

So in the end you were a good little sheep and still lost.
