is

What exactly will result from the current worldwide economic experiment we are doing whereby we bring the velocity of money to a near halt for a month?

Cause this thing has a 24 day incubation period.

I'm not going to claim to have an answer but I do know this. It has NEVER been tried before...……..in all of world history.

Good luck

This will definitely make the crash of 2008 look like child’s play. This, like you said, is unprecedented. We’re going to learn a lot in the next couple years, economically speaking.

Hard to say. I know I am going to be on another call later today (yesterday our entire firm went to 1/2 time & 1/2 pay) where if I am still employed at the end of the call I will be surprised. The financial services industry (I am a investment banker) is getting killed. Not by the virus but by the surrounding hype.

I'll be blunt

I think it's possible the economic damage will make it such that we were probably better off just letting whomever was going to die...…….die

This is not being well handled. It’s a disaster at this point.

Are you tired of winning yet?

Probably not a popular opinion but correct in my view.

I would much rather keep my parents, aunts, uncles, and older friends alive and healthy and have the market crash to zero than the other way around.

Of course.

So would I

But, that's not how one makes national decisions.

I'd rather my children never die in a car accident. We should force the govt to fund making all cars NASCAR crash compliant.

Or, yeah. Maybe that's a fricking bad idea!

Where are you getting a 24 day incubation period? I’ve seen recent estimates that it’s about 5 days, which is similar to SARS. Some people at the tail of the distribution incubated for almost two weeks, but nowhere have I seen a reputable estimate even close to 24 days.

You had an answer when discussing this with me, you said...

Economics. Velocity of money is a thing. Freezing it for a month is catastrophic

You really are a fricking piece of shite

If we aren’t handling this well what would you call how Europe is doing?

Crow and root for more death?

Why isn’t this millions of cases worldwide yet? Your numbers are shite. You need to do your part to spread it.

It would appear that more recent numbers are driving it down and I hope they're right. In early March, they were saying it could stretch to 24 days.

That said. Kids seem to be completely asymptomatic carriers along with many younger people

Which is itself an issue.

America will have one of the lowest death rates because universal healthcare and open borders sucks arse.

That's winning in my book.
