Can anyone explain what “awareness” has been raised re. Climate change?

I keep seeing people on the left congratulate Greta Thunburger on raising awareness for this cause. Can anyone explain what exactly this means or where it leads? Higher taxes and regulations? Is there anything tied to this cause other than more government control?

Hopefully they are becoming aware that the climate is becoming more temperate, there is a minuscule correlation between CO2 and climate and a massive correlation between CO2 and life on earth.
