When most everyone on this board is crossing their fingers hoping Susan Collins wins reelection this year then you know we live in strange times.

No One Has Answered My Question as of yet!

Because the RNC is the RINO party. They are supporting their own.

The real learning point here is that, republican (voters) all across the country think that there are republicans in the USA congress. Nope. Not a one. They are playing a game. The game is called lets act like we are republicans and we will draw straws to see who has to vote against the Republican agenda to stop passage of anything good.

Thats the Republicans excuse for not getting anything done! It's a game. We need all RINOs out and those who support them! They'll keep bringing them in!

My reasoning is sound from testing results. Let them go liberal and when ME has had enough then they will turned Red. It's when they are not liberal enough then you get conservative obstructionist!

The time to get rid of her was the primaries. In the General election we have no choice but to root for her to win. Sad but true. If Satan was the Republican candidate this November we would have to hope he won. The idiot Nazi Collins is running against is just that bad.

I see your point. But control of the Senate is up for grabs.

I know in Maine you definitely are NOT going to get a more "conservative" person than Collins elected. People there are really dumb and ignorant, but think they are superior and intelligent. She is the best R's can hope for.

Susan Collins is about the best the Republican Party can do in a state like Maine.
this. When she loses another R won't so much as even sniff that state

Your listing Susan Collins on there shows a lack of understanding of American politics and civics. She would be the absolute most valuable senator to ANY republican faction.

You seem to be valuing congressmen by how MAGA they are. That is not the criteria that should be used, even if MAGA is your goal. The right criteria is: what candidate would get the most MAGA result possible out of her constituency.

Susan Collins constituency is Maine, and she is getting the absolute best MAGA results possible out of Maine. If she went any more in that direction she would lose to a democrat and the result would be far worse.

If you replaced her with someone who had better MAGA bonafides that candidate would get slaughtered in the general election. That would put a democrat in that seat.

Cosmo, you might be right, but where's the "We the People"?

A "normal" person has not the funding nor apparatus to run for Senate, especially against an incumbent in a primary.

Senate GOP is all about incumbency/seniority and they use that as a bludgeon against any challengers. Thune has his hands on the purse strings, which is why they play along with his obstruction of Trump.
