Video taken by a witness during an arrest shows a Denver police officer punching a suspect in the face six times and then tripping the man’s girlfriend who is seven-and-a-half months pregnant, causing her to land on her belly and face.
The witness who took the video claims an officer then took the tablet he was using to record the arrest, deleted the video file, not realizing it had already been stored on the electronic cloud.
The limited-use video obtained by FOX 31 in Denver shows the suspect’s head bouncing off the pavement from the force of the punches.
quote:Yeah, I bet they would.
Officials with the Denver Police Department repeatedly declined to view the videotape, but Lt. Matt Murray eventually did say that officers “would love to talk with” Frasier.

They claimed that it was necessary to trip the pregnant woman because she might kick the officer.

The cop should be arrested and sent to jail for suppression of something that's basically evidence, suppression of first amendment rights and seizing and using property without a warrant or even probable cause. The cop violated two Supreme Court rulings doing so.
How in the frick are cops still ignoring a ruling from the Sureme Court of the United States of America stating that citizens can film police and they can't search cellphones without a warrant? It's blatant disobedience and a law enforcement running wild. But even with that ruling, I still firmly believe that the Judicary has failed to rein in and keep a leash on the police state in this country.

At that point, an officer turned and looked at Frasier. “Camera!” he shouted.
Frasier said that the one of the officers seized his tablet against his wishes, and demanded to know which program he used to record the video.
“The first officer that comes up to ask me about my witness statement, brings me to the police car, and says, ‘We can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way,’” Frasier noted. “It was taken as you can either cooperate and give us what you want or we’re going to incarcerate you.”
When the tablet was returned, the video had been deleted, he said.
The Cop is a giant TPOS and a pussy that knew he fricked up.
This really has me pissed the frick off.

If the woman miscarries, this cop will be convicted of first degree murder, right?
Haha. Just kidding. He won't be convicted of anything.

This is getting so incredibly out of hand. The officer throwing the punches and tripping the pregnant woman needs to be charged. ALL other officers on the scene need to be immediately fired.

How can anyone give cops the benefit of the doubt any longer?
And please, let's make cameras on all cops mandatory....would probably have avoided ferguson with that tech.

Put that piece of shite in prison.
Cannot wait for the day when ALL cops will wear video/audio recording devices.

Wow, this is disgusting. There is no way this cop shouldn't be arrested and charged with something. Hope that baby is going to be ok.

Dude punching him in the face and head is bullshite. Cop should be reprimanded. Tripping the stupid bitch? Completely justifiable. She's preformed ? Then stay the frick back and protect your child. Would like to know what kinda drugs were in her and the baby's system at the time.

Yeah, it's going to be great to see all those cameras "malfunction" at the perfect time.

And this is the kind of think that people should be making a big deal about. It helps people to agree with a cause when its not being based on fairytales.

Are you fricking serious......the guy who video taped the incident and is speaking to what happened is probably a fricking meth head. He is high while he is speaking to the reporter.
The female, while it is terrible that she got dropped, should have stayed away from the fricking incident (common fricking sense).
I don't agree with the officer punching the suspect, bouncing his head off of the concrete, BUT if the officer would just sit there and allow the suspect to swallow all of the narcotics and OD (and die), you all would be bitching about that.
Do I think that the officers made mistakes....absofrickinlutely, but even if cops did everything right......some of you frickers would be bashing them anyway.
Many people thought that Wilson was automatically guilty initially as well........you see how that turned out

Defending the indefensible always damages your credibility. Sometimes the police need credibility. If they take positions like you did in your post, they won't have credibility when they need to draw upon it.

I have already stated that they officers made mistakes. BUT cops can do nothing right in many poster eyes.
Your point is well taken, but remember that it works both ways....many posters on here bash cops NO MATTER WHAT.....by your logic, they have no credibility either.

Any position of public authority should be treated as such.

Makes no difference whatsoever on his first amendment rights to record police in action and the cop being a public actor suppressing that right and attempting to destroy evidence.

I agree. If you hate cops for the sake of hating cops, you don't have any credibility.
