Mine as I see it we are moving forces into place to ensure this thing doesn't spiral out of control.
Keep the Strait open, protect airspace and shipping lanes.
Unless the idiots in Iran do something stupid.
Then they get the smackdown.
Please add your predictions we can look back at this baby in a month.

We will take out the ultra hardened targets. We will also help take out as many mobile launchers as we can find. After that it’s up to the Iranian people.

Although I think it's very reasonable to question whether we'll really leave it "up to the Iranian people"
I expect people like Graham will be beside themselves if we destroy Iran's nuclear future but don't take additional steps to ensure regime change

Well I mean they’re pretty much neutered militarily. Dumbest thing they could do is launch a ballistic missile at an American base in the region at this point. And I doubt they do that because we’d relentlessly bomb them until they tapped the frick out. We don’t need boots on the ground there, just bombs

If we are lucky....
Israel takes care of business and any nuclear capabilities are decimated and regime change occurs(will take years to know if this is for the better)
No US troop involvement.
If we are unlucky....
We are attacked and sucked into the war. All bets are off then.
I do not think Trump commits to heavy troop involvement unless we are attacked.

I don't think that's why, but we shall see. The neocons seems to be on the driver's seat as they have successfully fooled Trump with "Iraq(n) has WMDs" 2.0 intel.
If things continue to escalate, then it is looking like some of us will be dying for Israel real soon.

Prediction:
- Within 30 days the war is over
- Israel dominant regional power in ME
- Iran on bended knee, forced to concede nuclear program & cut off proxies
- No regime change in Iran
- Lasting peace deal in Gaza either concluded or in works
If this ends up happening, I don’t think peace in the Middle East will occur immediately. I could see Saudi Arabia using the defeat of Iran as a opportunity to support their Yemeni allies push out the Houthis

Well the Israelis have been working with a lot of these people for a long time. That’s clear. This is the first Mideast war I can think of where we will actually have a solid resistance in the country to help manage the country after this is all over.

We won't attack ourselves.
Israel in the other hand will probably conduct a false flag operation against us. They have a history of doing such sadistic shite in order to get what they want. They tried to bomb Westerners in Egypt during the Lavon Affair and they they killed American servicemen when they attacked the USS Liberty.

I think that's likely true
But so, so many of the voices giving us these assurances are Iranian-Brits or Americans who have grudges against the regime and who are only connected with like minded people in-country.
I've mentioned it a bunch, but it's just so reminiscent of decades of assurances from Cuban-Americans regarding sentiment in Cuba.

Compared to the guys on horseback that we used in the 80’s and during our Afghanistan war I think these people are a godsend. Israel has built a lot of relationships in Iran and I hope that makes the difference.
