The biggest drawback here right now is the political locusts that moved here from CA and brought their politics with them.
We're hearing that a lot from our neighbors. And of course I understand their concern We've told everyone who asks that we fled California the day after I retired, and we have no intention of briging California's politics with us.

As for Boulder City, we looked long and hard at moving there. Cute little town, but the housing market is weird. We couldn't find a house that we liked.

I woke up congested like a cold, no fever. Glad you chose wisely. If you didn't have to be West you would have loved the NC mountains or Topsail, NC. Although I hear Asheville has gotten prog filthish.

Yeah, BC is crazy with that. You either have the trailer parks (or manufactured housing, as they like to say) the small houses built back in the Dam days or the hurriedly constructed horribly overpriced new houses.

For its drawbacks, the one thing that's nice about BC is going to hang at my friend's bar and not having a bunch of poker machines staring back at me. Good to have folks actually talking to each other or watching the games together.

What do you expect from a State where for years you could get a California driver's license without any proof you are a legal resident in the State.

And then that DL makes you defacto legal and you get to vote.

Now they've upped the ante.

California rewards people for being off the grid.

My family moved from Los Angeles to Louisiana when I was 15. I went back when I was 28. As a white male , you are treated like dirt by employers. They are really really
into diversity. I'll take the i10 drive through the Atchafalaya swamp over a i10 drive past an endless series dingy strip malls any day.

I hope Cali keeps going down the toilet.

It is mind blowing that you can vote without an ID anywhere. Seriously how does that not lead to massive fraud I could just roll up and vote as whoever I want and they’d have no way of knowing

We have a lot of illegals in NC. People in NC voted for a voter id constitutional amendment in 2018, which was supposed to start this year. It was blocked by an 0bama judge. North Carolina is the only state in the Southeast without some form of voter ID in place.

So the same standard should apply to driving a car, buying alcohol, boarding a plane, etc... I mean, those are even close to the constitutional impacts of voting.

I’m uninformed on this topic. So seriously, how is that even legal?

Given these “rules”...what would stop a person from voting at multiple precincts? This scenario openly permits fraud. What am I missing here?

That’s crazy, here in Ohio he asked for my ID then asked me my address, kept looking at me cause I didn’t say the zip code ok I said that too, then sign my name, he then compared (and looked very closely) to the signature on my license. Only then can you vote.

According to things like this, it sounds like Louisiana does something right.

Show id. Confirm address to what’s on voter roll. Sign book.

It really means nothing. I hope Trump gets it to shut the retarded liberals up, but California and their election fraud machine is why it doesn't mean jack shite.
