Went to vote today in person. Found out that you do not need an ID to vote. All you have to provide is:

First name
First three letters of last name
Address with number and street

Nothing more.

Can’t wait to get out of this shite hole!

Anyone who can’t spell their entire last name should not be voting.

And you wonder why so much of the popular vote comes out of Cali.

Need to divide it up,

How many buses and volunteers from Louisiana would it take to flip California?

Yep to all of that. We voted in Nevada this year. In 2016 we voted at our long-time regular polling place in Los Angeles and not one of the the 4 people in front of us was on the voting records list. They let all 4 vote. I assume their votes were cast as provisional ballots.

I remember when you were deciding where to move to. I will bet you are so happy you didn't do NOLA. I love NOLA but no way I would move there to relax in retirement.

Good memory. We considered NOLA strongly enough that we actually flew down there for a few days and visited neighborhoods. We thought we might like the Uptown area, since we both have fond memories of it from our childhoods. It just didn't feel safe anymore.

We love Nevada so far. It's hot as hell in the summer, and dry most of the year. But the Fall so far has been spectacular, with temps in the high 70's during the day and high 40's at night. And we're told that winter and spring are also nice. There's no state income tax, and the people have that Western-state independence thing about them. Friendly, but not nosy.

FYI L.A., I’ll be at Trump International through tomorrow night and then the Waldorf Astoria for a night should you feel an urge to visit Vegas.

Looking at Nevada, Idaho, North Arizona. Thought about Texas, but it’s getting bad there.

Very tempting, but I've actually been sick all day. Haveen't left the house. I'm hoping it's just a bad cold, and not Covid or the flu.

I'm hearing that too.

We like Nevada, but a big part of choosing it is that it's the closest place to california while not actually being in California. Our two daughters still live there because of their husband's jobs. Our son works in Silicon Valley, but his company has a goal of 30% of their workforce working remotely. He was one of the first to move. They told him he could live anywhere in the USA. He picked Northern Idaho. He just moved this week

As someone who's born / raised in New Orleans, lived in CA for 3 years during my USAF days and has lived in NV for the last 15 years, I can relate to all of this. Boulder City is the exception. It's very small and for decades, folks have fervently resisted growth and change there. It's very much an "everyone knows everyone else's business" type of place. I still enjoy hanging out there with friends often but that has a lot to do with why I've resisted moving there.

The biggest drawback here right now is the political locusts that moved here from CA and brought their politics with them. That's how we ended up with Sisolak in Carson City. He put us in that moronic 5 state "alliance" with WA, OR, CO and CA. What's appalling is that he may actually be worse than the imbeciles running those states.

This is why popular vote should not decide an election for President.

High population fraudulent states would be grossly over represented.

The framers of the constitution were brilliant.

California, New York, and Pennsylvania are rife with inherent fraud.
