Half of the threads on the OT seem to be in some way related to out of control crime and corruption in Louisiana. Maybe Louisiana should be taking some notes on how to afford new prisons. And seeing the mass exodus that is occurring in CA, and the lawlessness that seems to be par for the course in most of their larger cities, Newsom should too.

La. tried that de incarceration thing. That was one of Jon Bel’s pet programs. That and his huge tax increase.

BR is setting murder records. Drugs are killing people in record numbers. Gunfire is rampant in NO and BR. Crime is out of control. Oh and they can’t keep the juveniles they have locked up.

More and more this guy seems to be running for president of the blue states of America after the country splits in half. He’s trashing the states he has no chance of winning when he runs for president (first Texas, then Florida, now Alabama). What business does a governor of California have even talking about other states if he’s running for president (as he claims)?

Perfect. Maybe decent people could then get within 10 miles of NOLA or Baton Rouge without getting mugged, carjacked, robbed, stabbed, shot and/or murdered. Sounds like an excellent plan.

I don't care if we have to build 10,000 more prisons. They aren't filled with innocent people. Why more? Because people are constantly let out because a more recent violent criminal needs a spot. Simple as that. We let violent offenders out early to stick in a new violent offender. Do we need more prisons? frick yeah and a lot of them.
