I feel really bad for these kids. This isn't a regular history class where a student can go tell a teacher to go frick himself and walk out. This is AP History. These kids are trying to get into great schools. They NEED this class. They have to sit and just take it with no pushback.

The AP test is what determines college credit, not the grade transcript.
Depends on the school but you typically get 3 course hours for a 2 or 3 or 6 course hours for a 4 or 5.

Oh I get that, but these are the kids that are high achievers. They aren't typically the oppositional defiant kids that will challenge people in authority -- especially if they think that person can hurt their futures. Now, you teach general history with a bunch of latino boys and insult their fathers, uncles and brothers, you are lucky if they just walk out and you don't have to be carried out.

This phrase is a summation of so much that is wrong in America.
I was pleased to hear my college age grandchildren (not in California nor from public k-12 school) pumping for Trump. Reminded me of 1980 when I was still in college and the Reagan train got rolling. I went into college a liberal and came out a fiscal conservative having witnessed the unintended consequences of the Carter and LBJ do gooders.
Put the adults back in charge.
This phrase is a summation of so much that is wrong in America.
