Teachers truly have proven themselves to be inessential workers and destroyed what little goodwill they had going for them by their extremely selfish behavior of failing to educate a generation of children over this novel, but not at all seriously deadly, virus.

Mine are in private school too and we’ve not shut down once, don’t wear masks, and haven’t had a single case.
Meanwhile, the public school shuts down seemingly every week from a positive case and the teachers end up vacationing with pay.
Weird.

It’s the pervasive attitude in the teaching union ranks that teachers are somehow at more risk than your average grocery store clerk, mill worker or businessman. Study after study has shown that children are the least likely to spread or catch covid, and private schools and public schools In many states have already shown that in person teaching is safe.
Yet the teachers, teachers unions and school boards in many states still pretend to need a list of ultimatums to work, and behind the scene actions like this show their utter disdain for not only students, but parents. What’s not to get?!

I am so glad my kids do not go to public schools.
I have an email everyday from my kids' teachers checking in on them and wanting me to let them know they can't wait to get back in the classroom. To top it off these teachers make about 80% of what public school teachers make.
Of course, there are nearly zero "problems" in the classrooms.

To be fair, both sides have a point IMO.
Plenty of parents want their kids to learn and be successful, plenty of others do see school as a daycare

With what I’ve seen coming out of our public education system, IMO teachers are babysitters and liberal indoctrinators. Certainly not educators.
