He's voting no on the bill. Not much he can do other than try to get other Rs to also vote no which he is trying to do

You mean he's being allowed to vote no on the deal and talk more tough words. In the meantime this deal allows the gov't to spend more next year than they do this year. Again.
But hey, watch the video and suck it up! Tough man words!

Byron’s complaining about more debt when his man Lonald added more to the national debt than Obama!

It's impossible to know where people stand at this point, in reality
There is a very long history on both the right and left of orchestrating these controversial votes such that those who need to can be loud and upset about it (theater) but it'll nonetheless get through.
I'm not accusing BD of this, or Chip Roy or whomever, but it makes it very hard to discern what's theater and what's legit.

For fricks sake, Jon...not every thread needs to be about your TDS

I don't remember you complaining about the spending and debt limit increases from 2017-2020.

If the House Democrats support the bill, it won't matter what the Freedom Caucus, Donalds, Roy, etc do.

Based on his history I will take him as being sincere. He's not quite the swamp creature others are.

Everyone knew that this is what you would get with McCarthy as speaker. Donalds voted for him anyway.
Stop voting for incumbents.

Ok. What exactly should he be doing then? He's voting no and trying to get others to vote no as well. That's all he can do.

It would've been very easy to make it the House Dems who scuttle the deal instead of Republicans getting the blame. Again.
That's how you know it's all theater.

You specifically brought us a video of Byron Donalds complaining about the debt. In case you didn’t know, we are in the middle of a primary where Donalds has endorsed Trump, the guy who added more to the national debt than Obama, over the guy who advocated for balanced budget legislation when in Congress.

An extra $3 trillion in Covid related stimulus will do that not to mention the other Covid spending we were forced into. Trump could have been the most conservative POTUS ever up to that point and the pandemic still would have messed up his overall record.

Currently Constitutionally impossible for either.

How many of those NOT supporting this Debt Ceiling deal, voted NO on the Debt Ceiling deals when Trump was President?

Trump's record was still bad from 2017-2019. Higher deficits every year.

Trump folded on the debt ceiling before COVID even easier than this group.
Posted on 5/30/23 at 3:53 pm to stout
Of course, that is NOT accurate ... search "2017 Donald Trump Never Again" ... then look at deficits for 2017, 2018, and 2019. Then post what you find. TIA
