This is a great way to eliminate voting ballot boxes! lack of security and can be compromised easily.

Trial run for swing states. Do it at 100’s of drop boxes and election is screwed.
In Arizona, my family and I stopped mailing the ballots 3 or 4 elections ago. We just carry them to a polling station where they have a box to drop the mail in ballots in person. The benefit is, don't have to stand in long lines to vote..
It's not smart to mail them since 2020. Too much crazy stuff going on..

Doesn’t matter - dumb way to vote with unsecured boxes sitting on street corners. Our election system is a joke.

The box in Portland was the victim of the bi-weekly mostly peaceful protests in the city.

In WA and OR, the vast majority of however few Republicans exist there are using them.
Because they have done away with in-person polling sites.
All of King County has 6 "vote centers" that are intended for disabled people to be able to use special machines.

But yeah
You would think... With something as important as ballots... They'd put up vid cameras. But most of the vids I've seen were made by individuals. Not authorities.
