So this was a quota immigrant brought into this country to promote cultural diversity?

I love our media. They have already dug in and answered:
When did the guy attend Brown?
What was his field of study?
What degree did he seek?
Did he finish his degree?
What did he do, and where did he live, when he left Brown?
What is his connection to Miami?
What years did he live there?
When did he travel to Providence?
If he rented a car in Providence, how did he get from Miami to Providence?
Did he purchase the guns in his own name?
If no, how did he get the guns?
Did he know anyone at Brown that he shot?
Where did he go after the shooting - where did he sleep for five days?
Did Brown deliberately turn any cameras on campus off? If yes, why?
This doesn’t even touch on the MIT professor. No one in journalism gives one flying schitt about their profession anymore.

We get it. Now you spike the football after another "win". Don't worry, no doubt one of your foot soldiers will kill more innocent people soon, and then you can blame guns and Trump....again.

How about: "Can you give us ANY details on the gunshot wounds at Brown? Were any of the victims shot at close range? How many victims were shot multiple times?"

At least some clarity:
“He was a PhD student at the school between 2000-2001 before taking a leave of absence in April 2001, Brown President Christina Paxson confirmed during the Rhode Island news conference. He withdrew on July 31, 2003. His last known address was in Miami, according to police.
During his time at Brown, he took only physics classes.”
This may turn out as I thought: he wanted to finish an unfinished degree, reapplied at both Brown and MIT (hoping to get accepted because he had attended undergraduate with a professor there), and was denied by both. Shooting up the Brown classroom was just shooting up a Physics classroom at a college where he was denied reentry. Killing the MIT professor was likely because “you didn’t help me get into MIT” or “you didn’t help me get back into Brown”

I think you're in the ballpark, but if it were about failure to be admitted, why not attack someone at Brown who conceivably could have been involved in that rejection?
He was obviously crazy. So, maybe I am expecting too much rational thought.

If he was that premeditated in his revenge that it took 20 years of planning... then he most likely would've went after those who directly rejected him. Instead of just shooting up a classroom.

As a Ph.D student he would have still had his masters correct? So it’s not like he didn’t have his undergrad, he could have still worked in the field whether that be academics or other positions. I’m not doubting that maybe the motive.

My assumption was that he reapplied within the last year and was rejected within the past year. And maybe he expected a specific physics professor to be in that classroom on that day, and was surprised to find otherwise, and shot the place up anyway.
Remember he spent the last two weeks cruising the neighborhood dreaming about that moment.

Which makes you wonder how much Brown knew about him. He may have been going back and forth talking to professors and people in the dept about not being accepted the last couple of weeks

The shooting occurred on a building located on the fringe of campus that lacks surveillance cameras. The stealth attack and the suspect’s successful escape strategy is a clear indication that the gunman had meticulously planned and scouted Brown University’s campus prior to the shooting.
Are there any videos of the suspect on campus in the days prior to the attack? Have police monitored campus surveillance videos in the days, weeks and months before the shooting?

I can’t answer these. But, there are off campus videos of the guy cruising the neighborhood by that building for a couple of weeks - mostly ring cameras.

20 year grudge over Physics?
... Stephen Paddock supposedly fired off 600+ rounds in less than 5 minutes from a hotel towards a random crowd at a country music concert ...
Because "muh, gambling debts" ...

Again, no. He likely reapplied within the past year to finish his work, and was rejected.
