This is a PUBLIC forum. People can put whatever they want including you. So I have no problem with your comment. But did you stop to think maybe they're not seeking attention? Maybe they're just trying to cope with a difficult experience. A mirror might be a useful tool for you.

Both were vaxxed back in Jan and I'm worried it has worn off. My parents just don't care anymore. They know they only have a few decent years of life left anyway and they don't want to spend them hiding in a cave fearing a virus. They've pretty much gotten back to as much of a normal life as they can and will let the chips fall where they may.

Sounds like my grandmother. She's 88 and got the J&J one shot back around March. Her 93 year old sister and 96 year old brother both caught covid in their nursing home and lived last spring before the vax, so she's pretty much over it. She says she would rather die than not see her grandkids and great grandkids

She waited several days to do anything about it other than communicate iwth him via text and leave food/clean clothes at his bedroom door .. she didn't want to take a chance to get it and give it to her 20 and 22 yo. But I mean come on.

Why do you want to be a dick? Expert panels from the UK, Italy, Spain, and Japan have recognized Ivermectin as powerful prophylaxis to have a statistically significant reduction in mortality, time to recovery, and viral clearance in Covid patients treated with this medicine. Japan and the UK are our 4th and 5th largest trading partners, with Japan as one of the most technically superior countries in the world. Their health minister just endorsed Ivermectin as a prophylaxis treatment.

The Red Chinese Flu shot may be better than nothing (the jury is still out regardless of what J. Bel says) but it is not a "true vaccine."

You do realize that you are dealing with people who WANT the Pandemic to continue because they want and need to be controlled.....it's sick and scary.

This thread subject is polarizing for sure. Definitely going to bring out the worst in those that support or want nothing to do with vaccines.

I’m here to say this is a bad time for your family and I wish there was something that could be done about it. Best wishes to you and your entire family.

Brother in laws father

It's none of my business, and I didn't even read the whole thread, but why isn't this dude called a father in law?

Maybe it's the father of his sister's husband

So he's in his 90's? If someone makes it to 90, his/her death should never be categorized as "from covid". He/she died with it but not from it.

Yeah. This stuff does get old. 2 years ago an 80+ person dies, everyone is hopeful they live to be that old.

Fast forward to 2021 and OMG this 80 year old died. Protect yourself, do something, etc.

The fricking drama is sickening.

I lost my father to cancer when he was 67. It was sad, and I miss him dearly. There's not a day that goes by where I don't wish I could have a conversation with him again.

I was fortunate to be part of a family that let him go peacefully and with dignity. We all (including him) understood that it was his time and that God was calling him home.

We all die someday. It's just what happens. The more someone is at peace with that fact, the more easily they can live a peaceful and fulfilling life.

I think about my wife's uncle who is 93 and refused to be with family last Christmas because of COVID. I know it's easy to be a sideline QB, but I'm sorry, I just can't understand that mindset. You're 93 years old. At this point, a simple fall that fractures your hip could send you into a death spiral. What remaining "life" are you clinging to that doesn't include seeing your loved ones at Christmas?

I know I probably sound callous saying all this, but our society seems to have become obsessed with staying alive. As if the purpose of life is simply to stay alive as long as you can.

Cancer...COVID...car accident...whatever. Our time could come at any moment. So I'd say that living past 80 is pretty generous.

It doesn't make losing a loved one any less sad. Of course it is.

It just means that it's not a tragedy.

But that's all in the eye of the beholder. I'm thankful that I don't think of my father's death as a tragedy. It allows me not to be angry or bitter. I'd rather remember him for the life that he lived and not for the death he suffered.

My 80+ year old mother wanted to get the vax even after having had COVID. My sane sisters and I had a fit and she backed down. I think the wacky lefty sister was pressuring her to get it.
