Could be. I didn't read the whole thread.

So, in your opinion, having read the thread, was it caused by a medication and not directly to 'rona?

Or the actual headline. Or the link.

Why aren't more people needing amputations of limbs?
Is that explained?

Correct.

You and others have.
Can you explain why more people are not needing amputations when they get the 'rona?
Again...correlation does not equal causation. The implication seems to be that it does.

I didn't make that claim.

The point is that the OP misrepresented the actual headline. Lots of belly-aching over something that wasn't actually written.

Because they apparently aren't newsworthy 41 year old Broadway performers. The guy is being treated for a severe case of COVID. His lungs, because of COVID, were not oxygenating his body and he was placed on a bypass machine. Meds to treat the COVID caused hypotension are also being used.

And I never claimed you did. That being said, why do you suppose that is? Just your thoughts on it.

Fair enough. So you agree that 'rona had little to do with the need for amputation and it's simply an anomaly?

Are you under the impression that people are arguing that corona causes people to lose limbs?

I've seen this song and dance with you before. It's an effective troll. I'll give you that.

The meds caused a need for amputation

Maybe he should have kept himself in better shape.
41 years old and having the breathing capacity of an old man. The downside of being an "actor" and sitting on your arse all day, probably eating designer ice cream all day.

Sad.

Apart from Kung Flu how many of those are there? Everything gets talked about on Twitter; 99.9% of it isn’t newsworthy.

Blaming this on 'Rona seems like a stretch. If this "Gotta cut yer leg off baw" is related to 'rona..why is he the only case?

He’s probably not the only case. He is/was on ECMO. While patients on ECMO are given heparin to avoid clotting, it can still happen. In extreme cases, amputation may be needed.

Laugh it off like what you said isn't completely disconnected with normalcy. There is something wrong with you.

Breaking!

"Man on way to store to buy toilet paper has accident leading to the amputation of his leg. Is he another victim of toilet paper need? More news at 10."
