Oh. I’d imagine he will be much less trusting of people operating in good faith this go around.

One of his best hires but now Cult45 doesn't even fantasize about plowing her since the God Emperor called her a shite hack.

WASHINGTON (AP) — For all the lingering tensions between President Donald Trump and former President George W. Bush, Trump’s White House shares one thing in common with his Republican predecessor’s: People.

Trump has installed more than three dozen veterans of the Bush administration, putting them in charge of running agencies, implementing foreign policy and overseeing his schedule. While hiring from the last administration controlled by the same party is common, Trump’s staffing moves are notable given his pledges to change politics-as-usual and the frosty relations between the current and former Republican standard-bearers.

The Bush influence has only grown stronger recently, as Trump nominated Alex Azar to lead the Health and Human Services Department, where he served under the Bush administration, and tapped Jerome “Jay” Powell to be chairman of the Federal Reserve. Powell served in the Treasury Department under President George H.W. Bush.

No he isn't. Bolton likes DeSantis but that is because he hates Trump. DeSantis has no connection with Bolton and DeSantis' foreign policy has mirrored Trump's.

Quit making crap up.

That’s a lot of fail. All pushed by the GOPe too. Trump was stupid to listen to them.

Just out of curiosity, whom would you have recommended in their respective positions besides whom the RINO clan put forth?

Yeah I'm curious how a "Trump got cucked by the GOPE" argument helps the narrative

Apparently they think Trump has gotten smarter as he nears 80.

This thread is 7 pages of Cult45 throwing excuses for Trump's failures.

It is NEVER Trump's fault.

And Bolton and Clarence Thomas were roommates in college. Thomas credits Bolton with his transformation from being a leftist into a conservative. Guess it’s time to dump Thomas from the court, eh?

Trump folks are weird. They want to guilt-by-association for Desantis, but have no
problem with Trump hiring these people into his administration.

I’m not sure what it would have amounted to but as far as Attorney General goes I would have tried to hire the current AG of a state or large metro area DA who has the best track record of being tough on crime and and busting up government corruption. I know that’s kind of a best case scenario and almost a unicorn these days but I’d start there and work onward using that criteria as a template and tried my best to avoid laterally moving around longtime D.C. figures to the position of higher law enforcement official in the nation.

Desantis is going to destroy him in debates. That is why he is scared to death of Ron

Not saying you're wrong or correct, but...

Trump is absolutely fire and shines in debates when the brightest lights and cameras are on. Ron is being well coached for sure, as he has made positive changes, but is still ultimately very socially awkward and comes across as "odd" to the trained eye.

This absolute certainty of who would crush who in "debates" is redundant anyway, because any network/moderator that would actually host the events, would automatically rig the format to benefit one candidate over the other. OAN shines some positive light on Desantis but ultimately would favor Trump. Every other network would do everything they could possibly pull off to paint Trump in the worst way possible while pitching softballs to Desantis. We all know it's true.

I would say a Rogan type might be a good moderator, but even he has deeply ingrained misconceptions about conservatives that he presents as absolute fact.

"Your VP Mike Pence is running against you"
"Your Ambassador to the United Nations, shes running against you."
"former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says he is not supporting you"
"John Bolton, hes not supporting you"
"Bill Barr, says you shouldn't be President again"
"Your 2nd Secretary of Defense is not supporting you, called you irresponsible"
"you called your WH COS Kelly, weak and ineffective and one with a very small brain"
"called COS Mick Mulvaney a born loser"
"called your first SOS Rex T dumb as a rock"
"and said James Mattis was the world's most overrated Generals"
"called your WH Press Secretary McEnany milktoast"
and Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, "McConnell's China loving wife".

Holy shite

This is why they went scorched earth on Gov Ron way before he declared and you constantly heard the refrain from nearly all of them
( )

"just wait your turn and run in 2028". Funny how they were not so toxic on Gov Ron back then.

Yeah, the debates will be impactful but it’s not like that impact will necessarily be a result of who made the best points. As we saw in 2016, it’s all about the headlines. DeSantis could win every exchange but it could get lost in the post debate spin because Trump called Christie fat or something. Hell, if they all go after Trump in the debate with both barrels, it would probably help Trump because it is just the Trump show for 2 hours.

The debates are a weird dynamic. Especially if there are like 10 people on that stage. You only have a few opportunities to really make a point.

Past tense. 2020 he was pretty terrible against Biden, especially in the 1st one.

2023 Trump isn't 2016 Trump (when he was a destructive force in debates).
