Bret's interview with Biden spokesman revealed excuse to get out of debate

Repeatedly tried to get the Biden spokesman to talk about the use of a teleprompter. He clearly had prepared answers one of which was the Trump campaign filtering questions through Fox News.
The moderator for the 1st debate is Chris Wallace from Fox News. That surprised me when I saw that the democrats would agree to Fox handling what arguably is the most important debate. Now their reason is clear. They're going to pull out and claim that Wallace is being controlled by the Trump campaign.
They will follow up pulling out of the 1st debate by claiming that considering how the trump campaign tried to rig that debate they are not going to dignify Donald Trump by even appearing on the same stage with the most prolific liar in the history of the human race, probably the known universe.
Problem solved.

Biden will tank in the polls if he doesn’t debate. End of story.

Yeah Wallace made Trump look bad at times in that interview. He didn't go soft on him like EVERY "interview" that Biden has given. If he backs out claiming Wallace is biased he'll be eaten alive.

Biden won't be able to skip the debate ,and there is a reason the Democrats pulled a 180 after Nancy Pelosi urged him not to debate Trump. If he doesn't than he looks weak, hard to use the Covid excuse when he has been primarily in his basement and Trump is on the campaign trail. The Democrats walked themselves into a box and it looks like they will pump him with dementia meds before the debate and pray he doesn't frick up too bad. Wallace will cuck out and try to carry him ,but we will see. I will give it a 25% chance he has a total meltdown on the stage. 10% chance during that meltdown he takes a swing at Trump.

After watching the interview I got the sense that Bret was actually feeding the questions to Biden that will be asked in the debate. Dems don't watch Fox so what better way to feed his campaign mgr the questions than in an interview.

I hate Christy Wallace, but if they back out of that debate with him, I do believe he will hold their feet to the fire. Not that that means anything significant.
I think Biden is going to do one debate, they will juice him up like no other. Debate will be moderated by one of their inside people and that will be it. They can claim he didn’t cower away but can’t do anymore because OMB and lies to much.
Them claiming Trump is the only one that lies is comical with all the flip flopping Biden has been doing.

What if . . .
Biden has set expectations so low (with the eager if unwitting help of Trumpistas) that he only has to show up and not shite himself for it to be considered a win. Ever think of that?

Doesn't really matter who the interviewer is in this situation. The contrast between Donald Trump and Joe buying will be so stark and disturbing that they could have a toaster sitting in the moderator chair. The Biden campaign knows this and he will never be allowed to speak in a debate. Fox News is the best excuse they could come up with. The only reason they would have agreed to even a never trumper like Wallace to be the moderator is because it doesn't matter.
