You would have to be living with blinders on are completely ignorant to not see what the dems are trying to do

That’s pure spin. You call it going after political enemies, the administration calls it stripping unnecessary clearance from a former staffer who is clearly compromised politically.
He called for a coup de tat for crying out loud.

i'm not going to lose any sleep over it; it's just a nice reflection of our increasingly polarized and petty political climate where outrage mobs cheer on the public destruction of rivals' careers

TBD on that. Trump knows way more about what all they have done than we do.

And her using her office to peddle information and influence to foreign agents/countries to line the coffers of the Clinton "Foundation".

I mean, that's a nice holier than thou statement, but it doesn't really mean shite.
You're trying to play up the "political rivals" thing for people who were in positions that were supposed to be apolitical. If their careers are being destroyed because they are anyone's political rivals, that's their own fault.

Just because you have a security clearance it doesn't mean you still have access. You have to have a need to know. No job no legal access even if you still have a clearance.
The best thing is this stops him from getting another job that needs a security clearance. Unless he can get it back.

When will the Oliver Stone movie be released? I swear that’s what this is becoming. I don’t get why these guys still have any clearance other than to be “leakers” to press outlets.

Spot on.

I was thinking about that a minute ago. Imagine the hoops one would have to go thru to get a reinstated clearance after a revocation following a reason like the President personally wanting it revoked.

Can they revoke Mark Warner's security clearance?
Somebody get a mop, Warner's bleeding all over the granite.

Which is why they shouldn't have it right now in the first place.

in that case bolton, should still be on the sidelines waiting on his re-adjudicated clearance before he can become nat sec advisor

Fine with me.
ETA: People have been allowed to treat US Security Clearance as a commodity for far too long. Now John Brennan can't. The list of people under review certainly aren't the only ones doing it, but they certainly are all doing it. So stopping them is better than not stopping them.

as for me i think the real important question is what the next democrat administration will start doing to its political enemies, and what kind of path we're going down
I know. What if they start using the IRS to target their political opponents?
LINK
Or what if they start spying on opposing campaigns for president?
LINK
Imagine if our intelligence apparatus was used to spy on citizens engaging in national political activities in contravention of both the constitution and federal law?
LINK
That would be a pretty rough path to trod down. Hope it never happens in our great Republic. We better be very careful.

yeah, me too. it never sat well with me that timing your separation could be a little hook-up that made you more likely to get some cush contractor job.
but doing it that way would mean that DOD business would get more expensive and insert all kinds of little personnel-related delays.

So stopping them is better than not stopping them.
disagree with the rationale. if we're going to stop them for this reason, it needs to be by implementing a policy that would stop everyone from doing it. selective rule application isn't far from simple corruption
